My first trip by commercial air was United RICIADSEA both on DC-8-61s the first continued to SFO but we connected to SEA. The service was impeccable. It was far better in Y than you get today in F/J/C. Printed relief menus and hot towels wree distributed before the meal. An apperatif was offered. I never had a bad meal. Real Roquefort on the salad. Linen napkins and real flatware. Not to mention UA had their own flight kitchens at major stations. I truly miss those days
I never liked tomatoes and asked for none on my Whopper.My brother would make me get tomatoes on mine because they didn't give discounts for holding them and take them out to throw away.I told him that was wasteful,they could put them on other orders.

Appearntly. My great grandfather flew one of these metal birds.. back when my mother's mother was....idk 12? Anyway. I've always wondered why i have a good way of aviation. I just never realised it yet
