Great job! Something is off, it doesn’t look right. I hate fisheye lenses but maybe it would be more like peripheral vision? The bars vibrating were very distracting also. The crawler would be my choice and maybe a track experience. The bashing never seemed fun to me. Jumps aren’t very realistic IMO.
I’m still more excited for the Jato nitro lol. The bandit not so much that When I bought one it was specifically to modify the look by caping off the top and sitting a driver with a roll over back cage.
Yes. There’s been others like it but not sold as a kit from an rc manufacturer before. Absolutely great. Be getting mine too. Would you imagine playing nascar or just trailing with friends. Soo cool.
Great review! Ours just arrived from the pre-order sale and we can't wait to bash this little car! I had to see this thing for myself. It is a lot of car for $150. I'm curious to see how parts support will be as we all know if you enjoy the RC, you will be breaking the RC and there is nothing worse than waiting for parts!
Absolutely. The entire FPV scene was analog up until just a few years ago. You can get an entire analog system for a lot less than a digital system costs. The downside is you won't be able to get it to work with This version of head tracking as it's specific to its digital system. I know there are other head tracking systems but I don't think there is good.
Based on what you are saying, this could be the grom killer, but I am sure they will price themselves right out of that idea. I would guess they will price it around $275. And I bet that BL2s won't be any faster than the brushed grom.
I think the price will be closer to 250 but personally I think all small RCs are in competition with each other. Of course there are always going to be people that buy for very specific reasons such as price alone but there is a huge chunk of people who would never buy a Grom simply because it's too small and not brushless. This solves both those problems.
Id still prefer driving the traditional way. I can see how it matters for flying vehicles because you cant get that view/footage otherwise but for cars i think it's a waste of money
I list everything out at the end of the video but basically it's the caddx gm3 gimbal with any of the VTXs camera combos that are compatible with it (they're listed in the manual for the GM 3) and then the goggles l
No I don't normally do links because they're a pain to keep up with and I don't want people to think I'm trying to sell them something because I'm not. I do list out what you need at the end of the video though if you have any specific questions let me know.
Very kool and thank you for bringing this to light for us. Can you list the names of the items ? So that I can look them up and make my purchase. Thanks again !
I list them at the end of the video but it's the GM3 gimbal with one of the compatible VTX camera setups that are listed in the manual for the gimbal that you can get on the caddx website and then walksnail goggles l
These things are awesome!!! You can also use those long distance radio set ups so you can drive for kms or a mile. I have only seen these cameras used in the cockpit of RC planes. It gives you the feel that you are Tom Cruise in Top Gun. There are a few different channels on here that
It's the caddx GM3 gimbal with one of its compatible VTX camera systems. Those are listed in the manual for that you can download from the caddx site. The only goggle that's compatible with the GM3 currently is the goggles l also from caddx
I personally haven't had any issues with the stock servo. Check out my video after this one where I put even bigger tires on it and put it through more abuse. I think this is my fourth or 5th Grom now and I haven't replaced a single servo.
@@Rcjamaica876 almost certainly not. That's a massive motor. I don't know if they make a motor mount that will work for it but I don't think it'll fit the stock area.. The 1010 I put in the second video is just about as big as you can get away with in diameter.
Sounds like a couple of different problems. The front wheel's spinning freely sounds like something's broken in the front end and going reverse when you hit forward sounds like the channel on your transmitter needs to be reversed.
@@DoRCI have a hard time with traxxas 4x4. My rustler always breaks driveshafts. Even metal ones. I only run 4268 on 4s. I don't understand 😅. I finally bought the tekno m6 and gpm center diff. Hopefully I will not break it now.
Speaking of traxxas I wonder how long before we hear about another lawsuit. I like traxxas’s engineers and developers (the guys that actually make the cars) but the business guys there are just a bunch of ass hats!!
Im waiting for my radiomaster mt12 and the 5ch receiver. Im now looking to order a digital fpv system and this looks perfect. Idk if the price is perfect too tho😂
I suppose it depends on what you mean by perfect. It's definitely not cheap but I'm not sure I could recommend spending money on an analog system these days given how far superior digital systems are
@@Amircapturedmemories That's a bummer. Maybe there is a local distributor in Singapore that carries the stuff? There are quite a few different distributors here in the US.
This particular system is the walk snail HD protocol so you'll need a walk snail goggle. The gimbal head tracking is only compatible with the walk snail goggles l at the moment as far as I know.
Very cool camera and gimbal system for only $289 for the pro kit you get everything but the googles. This might be the next big thing for RC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This system is specifically walk snail compatible so you need to walk snail goggle. In order to use the head tracking I think only the caddx goggles l currently work.
@@DoRC Team associated 2 pro2 sc10 and a trophy rat. I also have a 3s typhon with a cheap aio that I butchered up the body trying to make a camera mount with rubber bands and duct tape
Yes the digital stuff is definitely more expensive and you will have a little bit less latency with analog versus modern digital systems but at least for me the trade-offs are completely worth it. But since going digital I don't think I could ever go back to analog. The experience is so much more aversive and especially if you fly near obstacles a lot it allows you to get a lot closer to things and see things you normally would have missed with analog. If you haven't tried digital I'd recommend it
@@DoRC I no the latency isn’t massive but I think my brain is sensitive to it I tried my brother dji system in his fpv drone and it felt all mushy to me and the further away I went it got worse. I love analog with a powerful 1.6w vtx it’s good enough for me while the GoPro it getting the good footage. Saying that I ain’t really flown much since I got into rc monster trucks I like ripping my mt10 more than my drones at the moment. Don’t really get much decent drone weather in the uk lol
@steviefpv Yeah depending on which mode he had it in the latency on the DJI system can be pretty high (2-3x What the walksnail and especially HD zero can do)
