Hi, i sample P&ID is very good and i want to learn .i want to join the course, let me know the procedure. I checked the course catalogue there is no AutoCAD course. I dont want Hysys..let me know, will join the course
Hi, I have training for P&ID where I teach basic commands (essential) to update P&ID drawing without being a AutoCAD user. More information on this link: hotmart.com/en/club/inprocessbooster/products/1557662 I do not have dedicated training to AutoCAD, sorry. 😅
Hi Steven, you do not have this option. The main purpose of Aspen Plus is Heat and material balance, not equipment design 😅 With exception to HX where Aspen Plus can be linked to EDR, and PRD using the Safety Analysis.
Hi, to be able to simulate an absorption process you need to find the components and use the appropriate thermodynamic package in the process simulator. I am not familiar with H2O-LIBR single stage vapor absorption. But you can start verifying the conditions above 😇
Hi, you have two options to have a better experience, increase your internet quality and/or your screen size. All videos are uploaded in 720p and can be watched without losing quality resolution up to a 32" TV screen. 😇
The video was very informative. Thankyou. I have 3 years of experience as a process engineer. 2 years as a scale up engineer and one as process design engineer. I want to do my masters in France. How are the opportunities for a international student from India? And which university do you recommend? Looking forward for your response. Thankyou
Hi, if you are interested in doing a master in France, you can try an application for IFPEN program. More information on their website 😇. Eventually, you can get a sponsorship.
I am having a hard time finding masters degree in chemical engineering. France is one of the biggest hubs in europe when is comes to chemical industry. Why are there very less programs available for masters? Additionally it would be great if suggest few more for masters. I really appreciate your insights and experience. Thankyou
Hi, it will depending on what you are doing and how much accurate you need to be on your calculations. For instance, are you planning to size the exchanger inlet nozzle? use the saturated vapor density. Is it for nozzle outlet, use saturated condensate density. Do you need to perform pressure drop calculation on tubes? you can start with an average density between saturated vapor and condensate. if you need to be more accurate, eventually you will need to split the exchanger in section and apply the correct density for each section. In summary, first let clear what you need do, later, identify the level of accuracy you need to achieve, and finally, select the parameters to comply with both previous conditions 😇
Thank you for your consistently uploading these videos of chemical engineers, I feel still minus in some kind of basic knowledge in chemical engineering degree. One more, thank you. I will learn more through your videos. Hope we can meet in someday, Sir☝️
Hi, let me verify the news. I will check if can add something from the chemical process engineering and plant design point of view😇 Thanks for suggesting new themes to the channel 😁
Is it better to say "What design pressure should be considered at the low-pressure side to avoid PSV installation _for tube rupture scenario_" ? There may be another credible scenarios for PSV installation like fire case
Hi, when verifying safety scenarios the chemical process engineer must evaluate multiple scenarios and decide which one is applicable for the case. This video is dedicated for tube rupture 😇
Hi Fabian, safety matrix like the ones used in HAZOp links likehood with severity. The intersection between them permits the user to evaluate the level of risk. Cause and effect matrix in the other hand, links actions trigged by an specific cause. In summary, C&E matrix is for action evaluation, while Safety matrix is for risk evaluation. 😇
Looking at plant design sequencial steps, design pressure will never be greater that MAWP because we inform design pressure in the datasheet. And based on design pressure and temperatura, vendor will perform Wall thickness calculation to reach a value iqual or greater than design pressure. MAWP is calculate based on material thickness.
Really nice explanation Mr. Costa,. please make a video on complex peocess control loops in p&id, that involves shutdown and detailed control philosophy
Hello Jeferson, Thank you very much for all your efforts. I am writing to inquire about the possibility of arranging a some trainings focused on flare study. Specifically, I am interested in learning how to model and analyze the discharge of several pieces of equipment in the refinery whose PSVs (Pressure Safety Valves) discharge to the flare system. Could you please provide training on how to conduct this type of study using Aspen Hysys or any other software you are comfortable with? Thank you very much in advance for your assistance.
Great video as usual. I just graduated as a chemical engineer in April 2024, started to doubt myself not being to find a job but hearing it took you 1.5 years wow.. can you share more about that experience? Thank you!
