Do you happen to know a map or name of the gravel road you are on seeing the beautiful mountains? I am finding limited information about a driving tour like you did of this area.
This place is amazing and beautiful but the people in the town of anderson ruin it its a big party that u are not invited to but they will take ur tourist $ and charge u to stay in there air BNBs the people in anderson alaksa are the lowest quality of people the city Clark just went to prison for embezzling 150k from the city look her up and now all the sewers in town are backing up its a joke
Shirley was a relative on mine and actually took care of me as a child for some years. Also, theres a parking lot next to that bridge. And if you park at night facing the mountain side behind u, when a car drives over the bridge in the opposite direction ur driving, its a cool mirrage. The light reflexions make it feel like your driving over the bridge. Also, what was (not sure if it still is) the largest house in Nenana, across the the rv park was my grandparents Charlie and Gayles house. It had a swimming pool attached to it that i almost drowned in as a kid.
Was there last week(June 2024) when visiting Denali for 3 days. Went to 3 Bears every night on the way back from the park. I thought it was interesting that women who worked at the check out registers were from eastern Europe. I would think there would be local residents needing those jobs.
A friend I was stationed in the Army with went to Copper Center when he got discharged. I always wanted to visit him but never got the chance. Would still like to go. Thanks for video. It's gorgeous. I can see why he never came back to the lower 48.
I was a seasonal employee of Holland America/Princess in 2019 and lived in the building at 4:55 . Great to see all the familiar parts of town as well as a few new places.
Thank you for sharing this video. My family and I have wonderful memories of Alaska! I'll be forwarding this to my siblings! 😊 I can remember the church I attended (North Pole Assembly of God), Santa's House (which was tiny back then), a friend's house, the gravel pits where we went swimming, our church's youth Snow-Go Parties and the absolutely BEAUTIFUL scenery (all 4 seasons of beauty and splendor). There were no commercial businesses (McDonald's, Safeway, Pizza Hut, etc) but it was definitely fun! The roads were dirt and gravel. Shout out to Robert Mainlander, Robert Hawks and the Yingst family if you all still live in North Pole! 👋😊
Thank you very much. We drive down to Delta to go to church meeting each Sunday but have never gone down to see anything else. We are planning to tomorrow with 88 y/o Grandma and we all enjoyed seeing your video of some of what we will see. Thank you
I miss Alaska. Years ago, I worked there as a worker in fish processing facilities in Naknek and Kodiak Island. I feel emotional whenever I see something about Alaska 😢
The big grayling would bite in the fall after the water cleared on the Tanana river. Bobber, small split shot sinker and a salmon egg for bait. Cold fishing with even some ice flows going by. I enjoyed my time in the Army at Ft. Greely. Some people did not. They never left post and insisted on not seeing the greatness around them.
