When i first plyed Shadow on PC at release.. It was awful , I ended up preferring Rise.. but after recently picking up the definitive ed disc of Shadow on PS4 in a local 2nd hand shop.. I actually prefer this because ive now noticed Shadow has more Tombs, crypts, explorable areas, villages, shops and much less full on action staged gun combat than Rise.. You can actually spend quite a while just exploring alone... Imo, Shadow is the closest of the trilogy to the original TR.. So im really loving replaying this on ps5 while doing all the side content as well.. Great game.. Nice review.. Oh and yes, fighting the Jaguar was brilliant fun.. 😁👍
If you like this game, you should check out 2022's "A Plague Tale: Requiem" including it's first part "Innocence" from 2019. They fall into the genre of TLOU and Hellblade as narrative driven games and are of its kind. "Stray" should also be included.
Hey I never played the first Plague Tale but i did play Requiem. It was one of the first reviews i did on the channel. I agree it's an awesome game and will try to go back and play the first if i get the chance in the near future! Stray wasn't on my radar. Not really into the idea of roaming city streets as an animal lol but if you recommend it, i suppose i'll look into it. Thanks for watching @thetuubster!
@@gamersenquirer Awesome! The cat in "Stray" is only the hook into an allegorical story about the human condition. You get a new perspective by looking at the environments through the eyes of a cat. "Stray" and "A Plague Tale" are both by French developers btw and you can see that "Stray" was influenced by "A Plague Tale: Innocence" (there is even a short chase sequence that is almost identical to one in "Innocence" so it could be an homage). In my head canon "Stray" plays even in the same universe as "A Plague Tale", but instead in the far future...
