Thank you, I enjoyed on this trip lying down without a tarp and watching the stars and satellites. I was hoping for northern lights but wasn't lucky this time.
OMG. Awesome footage. Back in the 90s I was in glacier Park Montana I was on the Continental divide trail. There was a grizzly about 250 yd from me and that thing track me for a mile. That is one time my fear got the best of me I turned around and went back to my car. It was a little too much
Yeah, even though grizzlys and european brown bears are technically the same species, Finnish brown bears are extremely scared of people, so much so that they don't even let you ever see them outside of a car or a hide.

I love the Finnish and northern Swedish forests. The peace and quiet is so relaxing. When you watch them, you immediately feel like packing your things and heading out into nature.
Does anyone else think that walking through the woods with the animal hide tied on behind the backpack might be a little unwise as a careless hunter could mistake him for a deer or other wildlife?
To be honest, I am worried about that in the autumn animal hide or not. This time of the year it's not a hunting season and there's no chance for that. Pretty much each year a hiker, bicycler or fellow hunter is shot here in Finland by accident. I believe everyone has a right to enjoy outdoors and nature, and that means stealth campers and wildlife photographers as well. Not everyone wants to dress up in a orange jumpsuit and shout while moving in the forests.
I like your shelter. We would build them in the woods when we were kids as well. Only we called them forts Because we pretended we were fighting each other. But it was fun.❤
It's really easy to do! I've been surprised how many hits it takes as it's softer than the hickory handle so the marks are more visible. I'm sure it gives more lifetime for the handle.
I got my hands on a M95 Ranger Puukko. It is a bit thick compared to the classic puukko but I like it. If I was going to get a less modern puukko I would want it to be full-tang because I am a fan of full tang knives (hidden tang knives really bother me).
Greetings from Canada. The brass parts are bolsters. The end of the knife that is sitting in the handle is tang. Thank you for this excellent video! I once made a new leather sheath and new handle from birch bark for my E. Jonsson Mora and now looking to buy blade and build my own Puukko.
Thank you! This winter has been crazy with weather. Right now we have about + 2 C and water everywhere. Though I'm sure that in a few days we're back with -30 C 😅
Thanks, it's a really great place to spend the weekend. Easy access and electricity, though no running water. Just a little bedroom, kitchen and sauna. All you need!
Spring is right around the corner, but we still have cold temperatures and new snow falling. I just received yesterday my new sleeping pad, which I can't wait to try the first time soon.
Thanks, it really was delicious! Here flat stones are rare to find too. I always keep my eye on any possibilities for one and if I spot a good one I try to remember it's location if I can't carry it with me. These flat ones are usually top surface pieces of bigger stones and have naturally cracked and are a lot of times covered in moss.
I have just bought me a Ahti leuka 90. I prefer a blade between 3.5 inch to 3.75 inch. That just seems to be my sweet spot. Stumbled onto your video because I was researching what I'd bought.😂
