Great hunt! Congrats on making it happen man. Hate that we didn't get to see the kill shot but a great freezer filler nonetheless. Which public tract was this taken from?
@@jonathanhodges8752 thanks man, I know it sucks I didn’t get the shot on video, I am now trying to make sure I get a video on solo hunts, when it came down to it the shot was more important than playing around with my camera in the moment, I would like to let you know where but it was a spot my friend put me onto and I wanna keep that private for him, thanks for the support man!
Have you tried the .75 or 1.0? The .5 and beast comparison isn't the best comparison because the dimensions are so different. Love your thoughts on .75 or 1.0 compared to the beast
Anyone having to harvest a buck like this on Public Land deserved the biggest reward ever. The feeling and adrenaline felt so complete then just shooting one on private land. But having to be shooting one on a Ranch must not have that much of an adrenaline(worst feeling). Congrats to you guys taking it out on Public Land.
That was a nice quartering to shot @ that steep angle. I like to hunt a little lower & hit the deer just a little more forward to get that exit wound tight behind the opposite shoulder & not out the bottom of the chest. The blood trail is heavier & 4 feet wide since they don't run off. They just stumble & then fall over from the loss of blood. The arrow is in the ground so there's no broken arrow & u just sharpen the head for another hunt. My next hunt is on the 29th in central MN & could be my last. Nice video, glad u took the shot when u did.
I'm so glad to finally see someone (the camera man I think it was), urging the shooter to put another arrow in him which is the humane thing to ALWAYS do... I've seen so many videos where the guy just videos or pans to the guy and he starts celebrating...and it's bullshit... If you have the chance to put another arrow in a dying deer fucking do it, quit being cheap, or proud, or just ignorant whichever it is to those who do that shit... Thank you to the fella that kept urging the shooter til he did so....
