I think its time for refs. Plays are getting too contentious at this high a level. No one wants to lose no matter the cost, I think it'd be best for everyone if there were refs when it comes to this high a level. Also they need to be checking the tapes on those close of calls.
This was boring ultimate until Brown's point to go up 6-4. Then they got it cooking with the quick pops (a few gratuitous hospital passes thrown in for good measure).
2:02, Trap side upline poach attempt, then trap side goal despite lots of poaching the lane 2:25, BS give-go 4:00, BS fade huck 5:27, good enough zoney Endzone D. Throw to O at back of endzone open but thrower error turnover 5:57, EZD bracket 6:12, hucking with momentum 6:41, upline double move 6:57, phenomenal block, no bodying, lacks best position, but gets the block 7:15, upline inside double move 7:23, I love the move with his stance that #24 uses here (after getting it back from #11). He kinda shows a flick break stance but fluidly moves into a bh inside break 7:47, upwind reset turnover (high release catches wind). Followed by Brown quickly hucking a goal. Lucky with the wind! 8:18, Flick blade zone o turnover 8:27, free guy shut down by a strong mark 8:33, upline inside double move turnover 9:24, flat side give-go double move 9:31, upline draws in an extra D leaving back of endzone free for this goal 9:47, Careless play by D. Dangerous play territory, but soft. (Jumps straight into O to try to make a play.) 10:04, Not a travel in new rules? 10:15, Handblock, see replay angle after 10:27, Defender face-guarding, goal. Damn 11:23, Upline double move for the around. Continues for a goal 12:41, sideline trap looking defense. turnover 12:47, upline double move 13:13, two nice reset moves, one gets it upline 13:24, massive footblock, replay after is better angle 13:43, clear and fill and upline 14:21, upline double move turnover, thrower error 16:23, OS upline 16:29, OS movement goal. D out of position on the guy who scores because the upline changed the distance.
his toes are still down when he releases, im not sure what that means in terms of rules. also since he doesnt have a mark i dont think it really matters too much at that margin
@@anaKenCS I agree, I think it's *just* impeccable timing and not a travel, however it's close enough that I'd be telling my team to keep an eye on it - and let him know off field, as a courtesy, so that a travel call next time isn't a surprise.
It was either Darkside or Brown since Carleton won in 2017 when Jack Williams, Ben Jagt, Cole Jurek, etc were still in college. Don't think John Randolph or Liam Serales-Bohs graudated from high school yet 😂 Darkside has made at least semis since 2014 for 10 straight years.
