I love this video, really phenomenal analysis. As others have said, I think if you focus on enunciation, your channel could be very successful! I struggled with hearing a great deal of what you said.
I wanted to throw this on the side monitor to listen to, but this blurryness going on is too much anytime I want to look over. There's gotta be a better way to do this. But this is why I'm clicking off before 5m.
I like that Pierce throws the troll present in the tiny trash can as if Abed and Troy wont find it later after they all leave. Would have made more sense to throw it out the window. They're gonna find it eventually and it's gonna cause problems. Even if he tries to sneak it out later when they leave someone's gonna ask about it. lol
Why am I just now seeing this brilliant video?!!! 👏 🤗 I loved it; great analysis. One of the greatest lines ever said on television happens in this episode. Every time I watch it, and Troy says to Pierce, *"I demand to be housewarmed!!!"* I pass out laughing!! 😆 🤣 😂 😹
Is the video in 3D anaglyph for everyone else? I just noticed it a few minutes in and can't tell if it's intentional or if I've done something weird. On mobile btw.
i love how well this episode sets up that jeff's need to be cool and protect himself really hurts all of them, adn that if he can just get out of his own way, things can be ok. he could've let annie's comment while they made out go, and been happy that the woman he liked found him attractive, and this couldve been the start of something... but it makes him feel old and creepy and so instead he lashes out about her bubble gum lip gloss, effectively saying "i'm not too old, you're just immature!" he makes britta unhappy by implying shes being cringey, troy unhappy by insulting his manhood, pierce unhappy by calling him old, he even is the one in charge of the pie boycott. he loves the group but he's so insecure that he holds them back. but when he leaves briefly, the rest can embrace their corniness and just have a good time. and a lot of people have said that this is proof that jeff is "bad for the group" or "the villain", and i'm glad you instead pointed out that jeff just needs to be less prideful. when he comes back from getting the pizza, he couldve shot everyone down. but he sits back and lets them have fun... even though he still refuses to eat carbs by pulling the toppings off the pizza. abed calling him out did him a lot of good. basically, we see that he's capable of overcoming his faults, but he can't quite commit to it yet. (A huge difference from like, season 5 and 6 jeff, who embraces goofiness.) jeff is so relatable lol. i always felt like the overall message of this show was "stop trying to be better than your surroundings and embrace where you are in life". I've also always wondered if the timelines are meant to be in abed's head, implying that this is what he thinks about the group... implying that abed leaving causes the rest of the group to fall to emotional disarray, troy leaving leads to disaster, etc. Also i loved that you pointed out that pierce brought up jeff's dad to try to make him leave/get him hurt! I never noticed that before and always wondered about the line.
I interpret the real ending where abed calls jeff out and Jeff goes to get the pizzas as saying that when Jeff steps up as an example and a leader it's when the group is at its best. Jeff's little trick to not have to go get the pizza himself slightly poisons the good will of the group. But when it's called out Jeff gets acknowledged for being clever, steps up to go do a nice action for everyone and everyone else is allowed to have a good time
@@stephengrigg5988 i think the pizza example is more showing Jeff is work shy but smart and actually not a terrible person- it's not serious manipulation and he folds almost immediately when challenged- I think it could be that Abed feels most comfortable when he can predict and influence the group himself ie. The timeline where Abed sees what Jeff is doing and calls him on it.
Did the acter Chevy Chase make racist remarks on set. Saying people only like his (Glover) comady because he is black. I heard this was the last straw for creaters of community. And it was obvious chase was jealous of Donald
What's with the chromatic aberration? It makes it really hard to watch! Luckily I'm mainly listening to it, but still, if it's for copyright this should be under fair use without the CA, I've never seen anyone else use it to avoid copyright, especially to this extent, it's really distracting! Good video otherwise though!
0:43 looks so bad. Light source in the scene doesn't reflect off of the actors at all in fact the only light that reflects off them is coming from behind their heads and not the giant sun in front of them the ships in the foreground are just low quality textureless visual mess of assets, Perspective is fucked, the matte painting making up the city below them is literally repeated over and over again flipped around 3 with the edges blurred out. pure laziness.
Just a heads up I am an avid cannabis user and I can tell you wholeheartedly that the idea that you can become addicted to marijuana is blatant misinformation, I don't think that the misinformation is coming from you but I do understand that society has shaded the ideal of Mary Jane in a negative light through films like reefer madness (formerly "tell your children") and I believe that it's not just Britta that partakes in the cosmik debris infact I'm pretty sure Troy and Abed regularly take edibles Jeff is an alcoholic and Annie regularly self medicates in secret Pierce enjoys pretty much anything and everything at the drop of a hat and the only one that is clean is Shirley oh wait peyote nevermind. My point being don't judge someone for trying to expand their mind because they are just trying to make it through the day and take care of head.
@@sharkslayer6581 you obviously have a point of view that you are set on and I was trying to remind you that a single perspective offers a narrow world view through a metaphorical quote. It's apparent you didn't understand.
Anyway, ROTJ looks too dark. It's my favourite SW movie, but it's so fucking dark! Lighting in this movie just sucks. The Empire Strikes Back is the best looking movie out of all.
damn. i'm really sorry, but the 3d effect is straight up giving me a headache. it's a real shame, i was excited to watch this, but i really can't. sorry man :/
Right now im going through that phase where im out of Community episodes from a 3rd watch through, and now the youtube videos are atarting to run thin. I really appreciated this video. That movie cant come fast enough.
Britta sees the pizza delivery guy again 14 or 15 episodes later and through a couple quick glances at troy she shuts the door on him and doesn't take it any further which I thought was a nice moment
Really enjoyed this video! Thanks! A bit of constructive criticism, take if it resonates: If you can enunciate a bit more or slow down your speech, it will prob increase viewer retention. I had to slow it down to .75x to catch the words you were saying and I typically watch things on 1.25-1.75x. Thanks again for a great video cheers!
@@misterairborne654 I'm an aspiring RU-vidr, and I was shocked how long it takes to make a good RU-vid video. I really don't know how most channels do it. If I ever do get my videos off the ground, they will be infrequent as well, so I completely understand. Can't wait for it
