So I have a 28 inch draw my first set of arrows Were cut from the end of the knock my new set was cut from the valley of the knock will that affect anything
I see how you measure with an actual arrow shaft but what is the finished length? It is measure from tip to string of from the cut? Does the arrow length relate to your draw length in anyway? I have a 28.5 inch draw @ 65#. Should I order 29 inch arrows if I can't custom cut them myself?
I cut my shafts 1" in front of the riser. I use fixed blade broadheads, and I like that extra bit of clearance. If I was shooting field tips exclusively, I'd cut even with the riser. I was always told that when using fixed blade broadheads, 1 to 2" clearance is recommended. With mechanical broadheads, this isn't as much of an issue. The last thing you want to do is slice a finger because you gripped the bow inappropriately in the excitement of drawing down on and shooting an animal.
Just have a few problems with this, 1st pulling bow back with fingers on a compound bow, d-loop size , and type of release will all change length of the shaft. Also after cutting carbon shaft you need to clean the inside of the shaft with acetone to clean out all the carbon dust for better glue performance.
You realize that a staple is of much lesser density than your arrow head, right? Your obvious trolling aside, staples will not cause any damages to your arrow or tip. I am much more worried about your outside of target abilities, tbh...
Dunno if you still have this issue, I have large hands and accidentally hit the trigger if I don't actively push the trigger forward with my middle finger. I continue to actively resist with my middle finger as I bring my index to the front of the trigger and begin to pull against the resistance my middle finger creates. It's not a perfect technique, though you can artificially create "any" spring tension you want and I find it helps with two problems, anticipation and projectile dysfunction, ;-) Cheers, Milo
Another great video I had a peep sight tied in at a pro shop and guess what came out after about 50 shots they only used 1 piece of string for the whole thing but I think your method is better will be doing this tonight. I shared a link to this video on my pinterist page you guy's are putting out great video's and need more subscribers
Arrow spine is what you want to look up. I went from aluminium to carbon back to aluminium due to cost and selection I have a short draw length but heavy draw weight.
