You know it bothers y’all that you don’t have a single word you can say that hurts white people the way we have words to use against you. You give us so much power because y’all all are so weak.😂😂😂😂

Dude nobody cares whag uou think dummy. Everyone was saying the "N" word pre 2016 on Stage with Kendrick. Plus Chris rock said as long as its in the song. It doesn't matter anyway dj vlad gave everyone the pass. So fkcccc yout double standard.

I really think its time to stop making white people feel guilty or bad for using the word. It's like any other word, and depending on the MEANING behind the USE of it should determine whether or not it was implied as a racial slur or not. It's ridiculous that black culture has basically claimed that as "their" word. And its only OK for them to use it very other word in a sentence. But as soon as a white person uses it, they are racist? When they are singing along lyrics to a song? Absolute NONSENSE! Should I start using the word reggin? Or is that not OK too? lol

I disagree. As a white woman, and Kendrick fan, I leave that word out when I rap along in the car. That word has never come from my lips and it never will. The concert that you’re talking about was in Alabama. The fact that a young white girl in Alabama said that word with such ease and was stunned when people reacted says a lot. She deserved all the hate she got.

Geez. IMO, it’s an art form first and foremost, and is a means of connecting people and bringing them together. How are you gonna do that when half of your audience is forbidden from singling the full song, especially one which relies on these words to form the rhythm and rhyme? It’s like omitting a demographic from fully enjoying a piece of art and entertainment and connecting with it.

Im black, and im totally against claiming a word, whatever history it has. forbid people something while others can, it the very definition of privilege and discrimination. its stupid. either we all agree its a horrible word to use, or either everyone use it at their own will . proud black man

I''m not White, nor am I Black, so I'm an impartial 3rd party in this. Let me just say, I've never, for the life of me, understood why Black rappers drop the N word (clearly the most degrading word on the planet) in their songs. In every other race, you NEVER hear racially offensive words on that other race's music (maybe there are one or two songs) but c,mon, like... you never hear a Spanish song with "yoooo my gri**go" or whatever. So WHY THE HELL do Black people use the N word in their songs?? I'm sorry but I literally don't get it. Lamar should have just allowed the White girl to sing the word. Everybody in their venue wouldn't have bought a ticket to see Lamar if they were racist. The scene in the movie White Chicks is another good example of this, the girls are singing in the car, everybody who has seen that movie know what scene i'm referring to so I don't need to say anymore.

It's called reclaiming. When a word is designed to hurt them, it's retaking the power from that word when they say it. It's not the same as using it pejoratively.

Agreed, I don't see an issue at all with white children dressing up as Black Panther for Halloween I love DC comics and dressed up as Batman for Halloween many times as a kid but im black and he's my favorite superhero, same difference. Black Panther (created by Stan Lee who was not a black person btw) is a great superhero but that character not specific to African American culture like that its for everyone for who likes superheroes, same with the rest of them...I do not understand all this racial obsession stuff and judging people by they're skin color as a 21st century society we should be past this.

In my opinion, it feels a bit racist to tell a kid they can't dress up as their superhero if they are a different race. Like I think a black kid should have every right to dress up as a Spider-Man or Superman and a white kid should have every right to dress up as Black Panther. Same with a black kid dress up as Elsa or an Asian kid dressing up as Cinderella or a Polynesian kid dressing up as Rapunzel. I get the idea of seeing Superman or another white characters as white, but I think you can totally dress up as that character because all you are doing is pretending. Even if a character is another race, there's no problem in pretending or dressing up as them because you like them and look up to them.

In my opinion, just like how Stan Lee said that Peter Parker is a white straight man but Spiderman can be anyone, I similarly believe that T'Challa is a black african man, but Black Panther can be anyone too! (or at least anyone can beat him in ritual combat that is!😁👍)
@RyanDelahunt
@RyanDelahunt 3 года назад
We're just so used to seeing these characters as their canonical races so I get why people would look twice at a white Black Panther/black Superman etc, but when just dressing up for Halloween or cosplay or whatever it shouldn't really matter unless you're painting your skin or being insensitive to the culture of that character. A black kid should be allowed dress up as Superman, an Asian kid should be allowed to dress up as Spider-Man and a white kid should be allowed dress up as Black Panther. Not enough love out there in the world, I don't think any race should claim anybody or anything. We're only gonna become better as a human race by showing love for eachother and sharing our culture and stories with eachother.

I know this is kind of late but these people that are against white kids wearing a black panther costume should know that there was a white black panther in the comics Kevin "Kasper" Cole and the fact that i have to point this out just to make some people see sense is disturbing these are fictional characters that are meant to bring children joy to give them a moral compass and teaching them on the way that never giving up is a good thing. Why must racist people bring everything that was made with pure passion and desire to bring joy to EVERYONE in to their agenda i don't understand?

As someone who enjoys Cosplay from time to time and thrives a lot during Halloween I think the thing is there’s a thin grey line now wearing the the black Panther suit is one thing any one of any race or gender can wear the outfit but here’s where the grey line comes in if let’s say someone’s race is white and they do black face or a someone who’s race is black does white face Thats racist going both ways but if any person or gender that’s black or white or whatever wants to be black panther captain America or Batman yes those superhero’s are a certain race but it doesn’t stop fans from wanting to be like their hero’s one of my favorite hero’s is John Stewart and I would love to be him he’s an veteran turn green latent his story is cool and amazing and the way he interacts with people is always with a unique style to it like he knows there’s a few other human green lanterns but that doesn’t change to show how much of a strong character he is physically mentally and with interaction of others now if I want too I could wear his specific green lantern outfit since every green lantern Sortave has their own style on their outfit and that’s one thing but if I do black face that’s completely crossing the line and I’m sure other people agree it’s not racist if it’s just wearing the outfit like how if any white person dresses as a black super hero cause it’s one of their favorite hero’s after all it’s just putting in the outfit any person can wear a outfit and it won’t be racist especially since there’s so much amazing hero’s and villains of all colors it’s not surprise if people want to dress as one of their favorite hero’s of a different color like how many people want to dress up as diggle from the arrow like his outfit looks cool especially with the way it lights up inside and some people want to be as war machine or iron man but some people would prefer one over the other tony stark is cool but Rhodey suit looks like it’s a flying tank like who wouldn’t want just to have a mini gun strapped to their shoulder like war machine has a arsenal as big as like a navy ship maybe more and there’s countless other hero’s like miles morales I remember reading his comic books and I almost lost it when I saw the into the spidermverse movie plus his costume is so much cooler than Peter Parker’s and I love Peter Parker’s Spider-Man just as much as miles but miles has a more diverse story that is more engaging and just if I could I would wear miles suit right now the black with the red goes together well but point being it’s not racist to wear the outfit at all, sure some people may think is racist but it’s not really racist cause kids of all ages and adults too worship a lot of real and fake hero’s that can fly or their idols In sports like football or basketball or baseball i could wear Shaqs gear from when he was in the Miami heat and I can say I’m shaq for Halloween and people are going to be okay with it cause I’m just wearing an outfit so that’s just my opinion but honestly I don’t understand why so many people think it’s racist to wear an outfit of a character or hero or idol of a different race it’s just clothes and people wear them cause they look up to the person or that person is their favorite icon or idol
