Great guide! Just a heads up for those that are looking to try this at Villagio, the kart speeds vary significantly on some rounds. When I was karting here, the operators said that there was a collision earlier on, so the speed of the karts were reduced. Regardless, I was able to cut down my time by 3-4 seconds going from 32-33 ish on my first ride, and down to low 29s later on. Although with the speed of the karts, I couldn't seem to achieve 28 seconds or lower, despite having correct braking techniques, racing lines, etc. TL;DR // Kart speeds may not be as fast as in the video, don't be disappointed if you get a slower time while applying these techniques.
I run it totally different and I'm the winningest driver at the track and won a 2 hour endurance race in the rain. The shortest way around the track is fastest it takes discipline to do it and not many have the discipline to not over drive their kart. I went from 17th to 3rd on the first lap and in the lead by the third and by the 10th lap I was lapping guys. Now I race lo206 and prostock dirt track karts. Moved on from rentals
drove electric with on a colleague's day out and i am the most weight 115kg of all i won the race to my surprise those electric karts where nuts . instant power top speed 70kph in about 4.5 seconds .complete different experience to 4 stroke rentals. loved it
I mostly race electric karts and the No 1 tip I have is to be gentle / sensitive with the throttle. Don't just floor it at the apex like you would in a gas rental. The torque in the electric kart is instant and you can easily slide or go too wide on corner exit. It's important to modulate the throttle so you stay on the limit, but don't go over it.
I went this morning and tried leaning out, but it caused the cart to bounce. Maybe it was the cart. It was beating me within and inch of my life 😅. I’ll try again next week with a different cart.
Each and every block pissed me off more and more lol the intentional missing the corners too. Way more patiences he woulda gotten 3 times and then i would have punted him
Boo ! I have never made that call ! Did a track inspection and we good to go ! Then they skies opened up . Spent a half hour pushing water around then we good to go ! As a racer rain is fun !! Even pulled off the spun and win 😁🏁 We once got snow in April and that was a fun race ! Last rain race let guy use race line to pass me and sure enough he spun 😂🤣 Have had perfect weather for this season with 6 podiums in 7 races . Got about 5 races left then comes the misery of Canadian winter ☹️
