One of Luc Longley's best games because there were no other real centers to challenge him. That is why i do not praise these so-call centers, today.

Duncan shot 3-9 in FT's in the second half, Pistons go on a 9-2 run when Ginobili was out of the 3rd quarter for 3 min, Parker had ZERO points in the 2nd half and 1 assist in the 4th....Billups got 10pts in the 4th alone. They maybe don't even need Horry's heroics if Parker actually contributed something on offense. He did provide some good D on Rip in OT though and one key layup.

Duncan also had an opportunity to finish that Ginobili miss shot at the end of the 4th but he wasn't quick and sharp enough. Look at this expression, he knew he a had a great chance at the buzzer......Ginobili even on some of his missed shots still got inside the paint well in this game, although his shot was off, he still had gravity on his drives to the basket. Also Bowen and Duncan were very effective on defense much of the second half.

1:31:07, look at that, iverson left Fisher wide open and hit that 3pt, with a terrible 9/30 field goal, he was the main reason the team lost

Not to mention choking on late game free throws, which he did in the next two games as well. People romanticize that game 1 but most the series he played bad.

MJ shot 33 times to score 35pts...He always shot 25 to 30 shots a game..Thats why he scores so much..

dang, game would have ended completely different if refs had good eyes on the shot clock violations, ron harper hit a 2 in the 4th that was a clock violation they didn't call, and then eisley hit a 3 that counted but they called a clock violation, but this is all ancient history now
@pipjersey8303
@pipjersey8303 24 дня назад
so the iconic snatchback shot by jordan wouldn't have been a thing if they had reviews at this time, because howard eisley hit that 3 and they waved it off because dick bevetta thought the shot clock went off, clearly out of his hands thou

You can see active hands everywhere and the moment you drop the ball below your shoulder you got to be careful! This is why scoring is difficult in this era and young generation who hasn't even tried this type of game says that only MJ has the skill in his era is simply laughable. Malone and Rodman are physically stronger than LeBron around the basket and Kukoc could basically give any opponents are run for their money on the 3 ball in modern basketball.

I also think Doug Collins’ assessment of Charles Oakley’s persona at 1:10:33 is both hilarious and also kind of sweet coming from his former coach. And it seems pretty accurate; Oak has always been a tough player but comes off as a low-key, thoughtful, perceptive dude in interviews. It’s no surprise that he is one of MJ’s oldest friends.

Watched this game to see Kobe “lock down Iverson”; fisher covered him the whole game but the problem was just the sixers played the least dynamic offense on earth; the 2024 pistons beat this sixers team.

Perkins is terrible at basketball. How is it that a freshman in high school can hit a middy but an NBA player can't?
