Nice vid. I went out with a girl, her mum and her kid brother were allocated a house in Bark Road. I thought it looked alright but they got robbed and I took a bit of abuse from some scalls when I went to visit them. Probably because we weren’t from the area. Didn’t stay long, moved to Pendle Drive, which had it moments also!
Lovely shots. I was born near Prince's and Sefton Parks in '47 but left Liverpool in '59. Most weekends we played about 12 hours of football or cricket in Prince's Park. Spent many hours wandering both parks just to escape the streets. Saw yellow wagtails near the Fairy Glen, unusual bird for a city.
Where it says "the only road into Hightown" - it isn't. There is also the road that runs south past the Hightown Club, although it is not suitable for normal vehicle traffic, being full of potholes. Still, thanks for a very interesting video!
