Trizzer, I would encourage you to do a little research about Ryan! He’s the farthest forehand thrower on the planet. The reason you don’t see him too often in coverage and competitions is because he doesn’t tour. He’s got a great career here in Minnesota but could absolutely tour if he wanted to. He’s a local legend here and anyone in Minnesota would vouch for him throwing even upwards of 650 feet on a forehand.
600 feet should be pretty feasible, considering he broke the Centeal Coast Disc Golf speed record of 82 MPH. ru-vid.comUgkxcFLRDxRAeogYv3De4khaF4JfGktANfQA?si=xKUa9n_D5diCfQYi
You'll naturally lead a bit since the elbow is lighter than the disk, but the main point is to not force the elbow way out in front to create unhealthy rotation.
I gotta get back out to this course soon. So much fun. I played with you guys at anoka temp course last season for one of the cedar series tournaments. 18 down boy!
I shoot 18 under in my sleep! JK, just started playing pretty recently so still working up to that level lmao. Long way to go, but luckily there’s plenty of courses here in Charlotte to try out and play
Hope you all enjoy this video!! This was our first time using the new mics and unfortunately Jarred's mic must have unpaired with the receiver. Giveaway at the end of the video so be sure to stick around!
I have a lot of questions? So my forehand I naturally lead with my elbow like it never hurts to do that or anything, and I naturally roll my wrist in my fallow through. So what can I change in my form to correct my forehand. I am getting over 350 feet on a flex shot with a 9 speed but if I could get ride of this wobble that would be awesome.
it’s natural throwing mechanics. Basballl pitchers, football qb and any time you throw u naturally lead with the elbow? Also Scott stockley he is the og of forehands and he teaches forehand to be like throwing a ball, and throwing a ball requires u lead with the elbow? Im not sure I’m understanding. Can u explain more. Cuz when I throw I see my elbow leads an I do that lead up thing u talk about I think.
Never heard of this game! Seems like a fun way to even the field! Good throwing from both of y’all! wasn’t sure we were going to see a bogey after the first hole! 👏👏
i had various pitching coaches remind me to point my belt buckle or belly button toward my target and get my back involved in the lag/flex part of the throw. i find that still applies in disc golf.
