Well and I forgot to mention it is freaking fast as well 😅 so easy planning + extremely high top speed. (If you would compare the dimensions it is basically an upscaled speedboard)
If you already have an iqfoil (900) what would complement it perfectly for stronger winds 650 or 750? For Freerace oriented guys surfing on lakes from 8-30 knots max. And i like to surf all courses up and down as well as reaches.
What about downhaul tension. Race sails require a lot of downhaul tension. Needs a winch. Does the AC2 require the same tension? My guess it would require a lot of effort as it is based on the race sail.
Yes, the AC2 requires quite some downhaul. The former AC-Z however was a lot harder to downhaul, so things got easier. But in general, you are absolutely right. :-) BR, Mario
Nice video. What about foiling? Most of us looking for one sail that can be used for Foiling and Fin. Also what about masts would 80% vs 100% make any difference?
You can use the AC-2 for foiling as well, works really nice. It is important to note, that we recommend less downhaul like that and a little more pull on the outhaul. Performance of 80% and 100% mast is very close. 100% is a bit more reactive and therefore better in gusty conditions. Its also a tiny bit lighter. :-)
The big mast bag only at the bottom is interesting. The names of the Sails are interesting too, AC-xy ungelöst 😉. AC-1 was before AC-Z? Z means Zero? In der SURF Juni 24 is a AC-0 in test. 🤔
How accessible are such high end race foils for windfoilers, who just learned to control a simple freeride low aspect foil? I seem to remember that in one video even Mario's father reported how scared he got by the speed - so scared that he had in fact to abort one of the first runs of the Defi race...
Small foils are not difficult to use ! I mostly use a 650 Phantom, I'm 67 years old ! Take off speed is a bit higher, of course. A 550 is way easier to control at speed than a 730,
Oh shut up Mario pls !!! Let the professionals do the talk/pitch next time alright?? 😂😝😇 For as much as he was trying to be as gentle and polite as he could, you basically forced him to eventually “knowledge-you”! 😘😜😂 Nevertheless, he was so very lenient with you man, to the point that it almost seemed as he was genuinely unaffected by your insights…right??? 😍😘😝 Peace guys, just having a laugh here, we’re all in the same boat in fact, as in saying, from time to time, the wrong things at the wrong times and all of that… 🤙🏻💙🤙🏻
Always nice to see some lads standing around a sail and talking about it, giving some nice information you normally not hear on the beach. I also got some 2024 Racing and Skyblades. Really love them. Durability is not only a slogan, these sails are really durable. Racesails that are durable and not super heavy, yes it is possible!
