I’d say he’s smart to lose. These people are nuts, I’d imagine they’d accuse him of cheating if he made any bit of excitement from winning, especially Lalo
His nickname wasn't that well earned. He didn't play his hand crazy, he played it scared. But he's playing against Lalo, so playing it safe is probably a good idea. If he pushes, he either loses the hand and is out more money, or he wins the hand, and maybe Lalo kills him. Better to lose a smaller pot.
Fun fact… Tuco once appeared in the Star Trek franchise.. in Deep space Nine.. as a soldier fighting the dominion. He gets killed in a battle to save an outpost which has a dominion communication array.
I’d be willing to just say it’s a nickname he’s putting on to make himself seem tough Even without Better call Saul given how he was written. He just wants to appear crazy and tough
Here's a disturbing fact: To kill someone by strangling, you have to keep squeezing for roughly five minutes (I'm not gonna google it and get on a watch list) after the victim passes out. So, unless Walter crushed his pipe, Domingo was still alive when they melted him.
Do you think, just maybe, one time, there is a gang member or drug dealer character that hates gambling and doesn’t like poker …yeah like Gus and Mike …the ones that seem to survive the longest. It’s always portrayed in Sopranos etc as cool blah blah but gambling can get you in the shiz like the one out of Sopranos. My point being- it’s an over used and tired trope. If they wanted to bring it up to date I would suggest the spread betting etc that people do on their phone whilst the games are in action, this is before that really caught on obviously. I just think it’s lazy writing. Gambling is a mugs game and nothing I’ve seen has ever come close to changing my mind. Yet they all , apart from Tuco, lord it over any drug use or users . Not realistic. Edit - last moan I promise, The Prius, that lump Walt’s driving, is THE ugliest car EVER . This includes everything that Citroen has designed. That’s saying something.
Well he probably didn’t have a choice but to play if he had to be there. And he most likely fell on purpose too cause after all none of the bosses are gambling with anything serious anyway
Rewatching this reminds me that Jessie’s actor can literally only play Jessie. He’s got that Harry Potter curse of not being able to be taken seriously in anything else he plays.
