first mistake: down shift at a curve in wet conditions. second mistake: gave it gas/boost while turning third mistake: counter steered instead of turning the direction the car was already sliding. this could have been saved or minor damage at the least. 4th mistake was no seat time
That happened to me in my 240 on an on ramp with dead even throttle input at low speed, the rear tires were quite bald and the Gs took over, there was no way to counter steer, had to do a 180 and spin it around luckily no traffic behind me and I had the room.
I have the 530xi e60 n52b30 engine with 258hp. Mine goes a lot better (so much better). I think its the same engine, but you don't have all the parts from the 530i where he reaches the power
Down shifting on wet pavement and accelerating at the crest......what did you expect? You probably would have gotten away with one or the other, but not both.
some oil?? no , you ran the racing line which is slick in the wet and then you downshifted and went on the boost. thats what happened. Stay in at least 1 higher gear than you normally would in the turns if you aren't used to wet driving and have a boosted engine And use a different line, early or late apex , opposite of what you would do in the dry
thats why, your steering wheel should be like 350mm. You can clearly see, he couldnt steer quicker, cuz he has a boat steering wheel!... If youre planning on drifting with your cheap first car beamer, then go get a smaller sportswheel and enjoy! Speaking of experience!
