Que pingazo mamma mia, ganaba de punta a punta, o de atropellada, en pista seca, humeda, pesada, fangosa, en el cesped, en la arena, de cualquier forma. Para mi despues de Yatasto, Forli.
He wasn't the biggest, but he's been the best producer! At breeding time, a hole had to be dug so that the mares could be mounted by standing in the hole with ND behind her! He obviously got it done! One of the best racers, ever! ❤
Exactly! I do not understand how a horse can win a few races, suddenly retire and command such a ridiculous stud fee! He has not proven to be a strong durable horse. He could have broken down and passed that gene on! BTW... ZENYATTA, a filly, the only filly to win the BC Classic beating all the males and continued to win for 19 of her 20 races! (She was robbed!) Where's her respect?
He's proven his worth, he's done every job he was required to, so now, the breeding shed. It may not be all that restful, but what a way to spend the rest of your life--if you're a horse! He's earned it! Enjoy your new life, Flightline! You did so many...proud! ❤ ❤ ❤
Not sure what you mean is Flightline "still with us." If you mean actively racing, no. He was retired in November 2022, after winning the Breeders' Cup Classic. His career was just 6 races, and he was retired for financial reasons, not because he was injured. Which is unfortunate, since he gave hints of being the best American Thoroughbred since Secretariat and Spectacular Bid. He is now at Lane's End Farm in Kentucky, making babies, and more money for his owners than he could make on the track.
