Sadly not on the Multivan. Also the ID Buzz is too small to convert as a WAV. I’m sorry. However we now have a Ford Tourneo Custom which we have converted into a WAV. We are in the developments of making it an upfront WAV with an internal transfer as an option. We also have the Mercedes Vito and V-Class that have that option now. Call the office and we can discuss your options.
@@lewisreedwheelchairaccessi2762 I’m a VW girl through and through so my T5.1 will keep until the T7 (or its offspring given its pretty much a Ford… 😭) has a side lift and internal transfer layout sorted 👍
We have modified it. After listening to our customers we have found that this option was wanted. The side lift isn’t an option on this car as its entrance height is way too small.
Never showed the wheelchair clamps, never showed anybody in the chair, how the chair turns inside from the side entrance. Would never have one of these or recommend them as there are others a 100% better out there
Das passiert wenn leute einfach keinen plan haben was sie da gerade nehmen und es ihnen auch egal ist. Bloß nicht zu viele gedanken machen. Der Arzt denkt ja für einen.
Any idea what to do when you put the table in and you’ve pushed it back to the back of the rails but touching the rear seat meaning that the mechanism to move. The table is now blocked by the seat and the mechanism to move. The seat is blocked by the table.?
Are you looking to privately fund a G wagon? Do you reside in the UK? (I’m assuming the answers yes). If I can have answers to that question, I may be able to answer your original question.
@@Eva_H no, sir, I live in USA. I am a quadriplegic myself in a power chair, but I am looking to see if I can get a G wagon trunk that can be modified. I just need to be a passenger.
@@AR-il7gn Ok if and I stress IF you have the money for one are you able to buy one? FIRSTLY and more IMPORTANTLY you’re going to have to find a conversion company that does CONVERSIONS ONLY FIRST and take it from there. EXAMPLE let’s say you have a pick up but you want it converted (let’s say the ATC conversion for example) you could go in talk to somebody who does conversion only with full bespoke (full custom) then you have a plan. Ultimately, you have to go find somebody who can do a full custom conversion FIRST, BEFORE you buy the vehicle (assuming you have the funds to do so). In terms of entering/exiting the vehicle, do you need to be in your wheelchair or are you fine on a normal seat? Again you just need to find a conversion company that can go through options. The only mobility company I know of in the US (I don’t know if they do custom however) is Startracks mobility. You’ll want to talk to them first BEFORE you end up buying a vehicle. I hope this is helped somewhat? I live/reside in the UK so I have little familiarity with the mobility companies out in the US specifically doing vehicle conversions but I do like to look what sort of conversions are out there? (generally speaking) especially on that side of the Atlantic. Again, I don’t have a solid familiarity but if you reach out to Star Tracks mobility somebody there may be able to help (at the very least they can put you in touch with somebody who can help). I know they’re based in Indiana which if I’m not mistaken is on the East Coast and that’s all I know about personally (as a company). Apologies for the ramble, I hope this has helped in giving you some form of information that you didn’t have before at the very least. Take care you, alright?
Hey mate I totally love you and your vids. I’ve got Motability coming to mine for an assessment for this type of vehicle, I’ve had quite a few cars off them but now I need my big electric wheelchair full time so hopefully I will be able to transfer onto drivers seat. Anyway thanks for all you information and you could be a comedian your quite funny cheers. Michael

Hi, this might be a ridiculous question, but does this table fits in the VW T5 tracks? Saw your video on the T5 table, but I honestly don’t like that it is a rounded, small table, I’d prefer this one from the Vito.
It would be illegal to ride in a vehicle with such low head clearance in the USA. Are rules so relaxed in Europe, or am I missing something? One wrong move, or a dip in the road, and you can break your neck! O_o
That’s something I noticed as well. Her head is actually above the roofline. This is indeed dangerous and defies common sense. The only way to overcome this would be the ability to transfer from your wheelchair into a car seat. I appreciate it’s not possible for everyone to do this, however safety must be the number one priority.
The video does not show how the girl gets into the car from the ramp. I believe she had to bow her head. This means that if she were on an electric wheelchair that is higher than the active one, she would not be able to go in at all.@@lewisreedwheelchairaccessi2762
Pas de moyen de traduire version en anglais nulle et ce n'est même pas le type de caddy wv que j'ai. Vous êtes complètement dans un autre monde ou totalement nuls ?
Any idea why the swivel function does not engage? The swivel button appears fine and engages the same way as the height button, but the column/table remains tightly locked in place …?
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PiFW9E2ljA0.html Have a 360 look at our GRANDE version of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class which has a discreet higher roof for the taller wheelchair user. You can see around the car in this video allowing you to look from the rear wheelchair position. This car allows you to sit in row three, two or upfront as a passenger or driver.
First time I’ve seen a conversion with 2 lifts. It shows it can be done. Given the frequency of breakdowns of lifts in general and the sheer cost of this extravagance, it would unfortunately be out of most peoples price budgets. However this must be noted that a choice of entry and exit points is revolutionary in terms of access depending on parking availability. Thanks for sharing.
Agree. It’s not about more headroom it’s about a lower floor. A higher headroom doesn’t change the angle of the windscreen. If you look at this wheelchair users head it’s above the roofline and into the sunroof area.
Never seen a WAV with 2 lifts. Given the frequency of issues it would be amazing to have a spare. This also allows a choice of use depending on parking. Only issue is cost. With a double conversion it would prove not cost effective. Thanks for sharing.
