I got one now that has the CCF replaced, putting out code 556 with .50inh20 I noticed 219f oil temp sensor koeo right away. Are these sensors on same wiring path where CCF can be seeing EOT voltage reference causing false ECM code or is a bad EOT setting off a phantom 556 code?
Me & wife plus both sons Class A CDL holders, 10+ years tractor trailer, owner operators. Semi retiring this summer, gonna drag everyone into RV delivery. Pay for fun travel & make enough for both boys, who are single, no big bills etc.
This does very little to prepare an entrepreneur for RV Transport. If we don't know what you're doing all this for, it's non helpful. What are we going after $$$$ each month? ROI ??? Doesn't matter if in heavy or lean. What is the company PAYING??? What does all this mean?? The company LOVES you! You didn't cover the huge losses on deadhead. You're their perfect recruiter!!
Also, i dont want to lease on w a company, i want to start my own business n broker my own loads. My husband n i have been classA cdl drivers for 20 yrs n we dont want to work for other people anymore, can u do a video on how to start all that from ground zero?
Drivers were getting bent out of shape over 3 cents per mile? I ran for IT for four years, 2016-2020, and never had to experience a rate decrease. In 2020 I was making $1.40 per mile and ran all the way through the pandemic. Many drivers had quit during that time because they could make more money by sitting at home and waiting for the gummint checks to arrive. Dummy me, I kept running. IT couldn't get the drivers to come back until they raised the rate to $1.80 per mile. But I liked running for IT and talked to other drivers about their deals at competing dispatchers. I didn't think that other companies were much better or even as good. IT improved the convenience of picking loads and driver amenities at the terminal every year that I was with them.
Do you get to pick loads, or how many loads? I've thought of a career change. I've been thinking of transporting cars. Im seeing videos on RV transport. Im curious about that as well. One trip a week sounds nice.
Enjoy your videos. Camped and hauled travel trailer and 5th wheels for our own use for 45 years. I'm retired now, full time RVing with my wife. As we travel we stay up to 3 months in one spot so I am looking into RV transport for some extra income. I appreciate your perspective and business savvy as I figure out a plan that works for me.
That’s like 200 a day then u didn’t include the taxes you got a pay on that little money you might as well get a company job and be home every day with benefits and off on weekends and less you are single and 23 years old with no kids that’s not grown man money if you have responsibilities in a mortgage etc. you’ll go broke trying to make the cookie crumb
My husband and i have just started doing rv transport as a side job since hes been down to 3 days a week and several shut downs as and rv factory employee. I was a bit concerned when looking at what our load paid then deducting all the fuel and expenses we look in the red. I was looking at it as we would be paying taxes at your 1414 amount. I wasnt looking at the math as you explained it. So your truck maintenance, tools, straps etc would be another deduction? Truck payment would also be a deduction?
Correct. But your real tax deductions come from the standard deductions of days worked, overnights and mileage. You should end up showing you “lost money” with single pulls from a tax standpoint. If you don’t have a $600+/month truck payment which then leads to a high unladen insurance payment, you shouldn’t have to “work to just pay your bills” which fits for doing it on a part time basis! Best of luck! 💪
Good for you! Fyck these scum bags! Same thing happened to me this morning in Ohio on 75 exit 36 .This was twice it happened to me.I told em to pound salt! Walked away.
What is the best rv company to get into? Currently looking at Synergy and Horizon. Horizon seems to pay a tad better out of the two. Do you have a better recommendation?
He definitely wasn’t doing with this guys doing he said $6000 in 29 days that’s definitely not 200 Grand that’s like $200 a day which is nothing in this industry
He definitely wasn’t! He was doing haul and tow or flatbed devision with backhauls on a full time basis. And that number is probably his gross rev. But at worst had a 45-50% margin… not bad in my eyes 👀
Deleted trucks is a HUGE no no. Imagine being put out of service over that. So now tuck is on the side of the road unable to move it until you fix the exhaust. It happens, and if it hasn’t happened yet, be prepared for when it does. Dot knows what they’re looking for. Save money for that few thousand $$ fine too.
Hey man came across your video and it was very informative. However I am just now getting into this and thought it would be better to start a LLC for tax benefits as far as truck purchase and everything else going forward. However my accountant says I need commercial insurance if I go that route and checking into it commercial insurance is super expensive! So should I not do it as an LLC? Or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you !
Are there specific load boards needed to find loads I'm assuming so. What are the names of those load boards? Also, I'm assuming I would need to start an LLC? Do you need a CDL? Are RV haulers subject to DOT rules and regulations?
