The Exploratorium Teacher Institute (TI) has been the professional development home for middle- and high-school math and science teachers since 1984. TI supports teachers at different stages of their careers to incorporate the hands-on, inquiry-based experiences of the Exploratorium into their classrooms. TI’s staff of PhD scientists and veteran science educators focus on increasing teacher content knowledge and enhancing pedagogical skills.
TI has also developed hundreds of activities called Science Snacks that encourage teachers and students alike to build tabletop versions of Exploratorium exhibits and explore other hands-on science investigations. These activities are designed to demonstrate unusual or unexpected phenomena, spark curiosity, generate questions, and serve as the starting point for deeper classroom explorations.

Hey so super late to all of this but thank you I’m a 27 year old with a lost sense of self and really struggle with depression for some reason this kinda stuff makes me remember that there’s so much possibility people and the world have killed the creative mind in me I know I could show this to my partner and she’d say but why and it’s like because it can damn it
Thanks very much for showing the different sounds. Have you tried it with different nails, eg copper, iron, steal. I would be very interested in the result.
Hello, I am getting ready to try it with my students bu I can not get it to work. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? How do I know if i got the right led light or the right motor? Can you share a website where you got the items? This way I can buy the right equipment. 🙏 my students are looking forward to it.
You sound like an idiot throwing your Spanish name into it....the way you pause just before and then try to use an accent.....American Whites ONLY people on planet who does that crap.....look like fools...sounds too!! Look How Woke She Is....That's Soooooooooo Awsome!!!!!!! retard
Your phrase is wrong, you should says: how to transmit the sound from..... To......or you can say : how to ignite a bulb with sound,... You didn't create the light, you ignited a bulb through the radio and a battery
Hi! Thank you so much for this, I made it twice! However, both times the positive terminal wire burned up completely and ruined the experiment. I don’t know what to do - any feedback?
Just tried this, only getting 0.02V out of the motor. The LEDs need at least 2V, which is about 100X the current output. I also noticed the video doesn't show a working model, maybe they know this doesn't work as well?
