Fun review, fellas. This one was definitely a spicy meatball. Personally, I prefer their Copestone offering among their BA barleywines (more balanced/approachable). I'm sitting on a second bottle of this that I might just let age for like 8 years to see if the alcohol dies down, lol. Generally, most of their BA offerings really hit (Copestone, Mantel among the barleywines/strong ales, Witch Meadow, Votive among the stouts. Some next level beers). Cheers!
Cheers gents - took y'all long enough to get to these! lol. Keith is correct; a bunch of y'all were interested in this when it was released in 2022, so everyone either paid me directly, or put in orders that I proxy picked up at FF, and then I sent them out. A bunch of miscommunication ensued, resulting in some people reviewing without it doing a group with you, and everyone else just forgot. Hope all is well!
@@NerdsenseReviews I'm trying to remember my immediate reaction to it fresh. At about a year old, I remember thinking it had improved quite a bit, especially after sitting in the glass and resampling for longer than an hour (I also split it, so I really took a long time with it). I'll have to see if I have another bottle and re-try - I wonder if 1 year of aging was the sweet spot.
@@jesusfreakinct I finished it over the course of the weekend and I did feel like it was more approachable the next day after sitting in the fridge then as it warmed it opened up more.
That sounds pretty good! When you said dunkelweizen with maple I was turned off for a bit; I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to some styles. But I have to admit, this tickles my fancy. Great review, guys!!
If Conclave can get their carbonation issues on their barrel-aged stouts sorted, they could be the best brewery in NJ. Glad this held up nicely!Cheers!
Keep an eye out for the new Schlitz cans from Lacrosse, Wisconsin (City Brewing). Their contract will Molson Coors will expire at the end of 2024 and all production will have shifted to City Brewing. Their version of Schlitz is certainly different.
no six packs, so i had to buy the 12 pack at my total store, after having a few, this will always be in my fridge, with na, i can have one before and after mowing the lawn, sam adams out did themselves
I'd totally give you an A. Nailed the style, came within 0.5% of the ABV, and got one of the two hops you mentioned. Great job, Shaun! Sounds delicious, too. Cheers, brother!
Way above Trillium! I’d say they stand head to head with Treehouse if not just a bit taller because they aren’t releasing a “new” IPA every week so I think the quality is a little better overall. I haven’t had enough Fidens to make an educated opinion.
Reviewed this a little over a month ago, and absolutely loved it. Whopper vibes is a perfect way to describe it. Honestly, might be the best beer I've had from Suarez, but I'm partial to dark lagers. Glad you thoroughly enjoyed it, as well! Great review, Shaun. Cheers!
GGGreenest Green doesn’t exist. Green-ish has been done skmewhat regularly recently. Liquid Green a couple times. Apples to apples, Very Green is $20.20.
