Honestly back in early 2000, I thought these guys were the second coming of Seattle. I was SO sure of it. They had it all. The album was so damn, damn good. Not sure what happened but i was there.
It’s so surreal that he mixed in the other song “only in dreams” and there’s the line about bone marrow (he recorded this shortly before his leukemia diagnosis and then eventual life saving bone marrow transplant). Play the song at the 5:00 mark and you’ll hear it
one of my favorite songs for years…can't believe there's only 15 ppl there wtf?! i wish nate would have made it with the format instead of fun. but I'm glad he made it either way. love his voice.
I wonder how many of those 15 people thought they were looking at someone who would be an international superstar in a few years. I hate myself for never going to a Format show, though I was about 13 when they broke up, so there's that :/
thanks for this video. i remember this was the first song i ever heard from the format. i turned my radio on for the Sunday Morning Service which played rare acoustic songs for those Sunday morning hangovers. but yea, this song got me and they became one of my favorite bands ever.
