Yes and no! The 'classic' line up from the early-mid 70s were lead vocalist Brian Connolly, bassist Steve Priest, guitarist Andy Scott and drummer Mick Tucker. Sadly Brian, Mick and Steve are no longer with us. The only surviving member Andy Scott is the guy with the long white hair left of stage in video. However, technically speaking Andy is not an original member. The 4th original member was Frank Torpey who was with the band 1968-1969. Frank died very recently. Frank was replaced by Mick Stewart 1969-1970. It was after Mick Stewart left that Andy Scott joined in 1970 thereby completing what became known as the 'classic' line up. One year later in 1971 the band had their first UK hit 'Funny Funny'.
We,ve been to see sweet a number of times over the last few years...the fire station Sunderland proved to be an excellent size venue..brilliant night was had by all..sweet looked and sounded as good as ever..hope they'll tour annually for a few years yet...the music will never die...Great video and sound...thanks for posting
It's all rather confusing about Bruce. There's a band picture on their Facebook page with Adam Booth instead of Bruce but also a comment indicating that Bruce's absence was temporary for family reasons.
