Rejection really is difficult. But perhaps the initial feeling of heartbreak is to save you from feeling overwhelmed at your dream school. It's UCLA's loss for not accepting you. You seem like such a great friend and a very accomplished person! I got waitlisted by UC Santa Cruz so I'm a bit upset about that, especially with the high acceptance rates even though I wasn't planning on going. And regarding early college decisions, I got a letter mid January from Cal State LA and I wondered if "Admitted" actually meant acceptance or if they were trolling. Glad to see your family there were you for all your college decisions. I was either busy and had my mom check them or I received an email and didn't tell my mom about my acceptance to Cal State Long Beach until a day after. Hahaha. The animations and videos the colleges give you in your admission is really special.
