This commercial is a DEEP memory in my childhood. I think my mom taped it over a motorbike racing VHS or somethin so I could watch it. I was born in '99 😬
This song reminds me of good times spent with my brother, staying up into the middle of the night as kids. He eventually went into the Army and came home with PTSD. Two months ago, nearly 11 years after he got out, life was still extremely difficult for him; and he ended it. 😭 But I'm thankful that this video was here on RU-vid for me to find and remember the good times with my brother. 🥰
This was one of the songs that was big at my local pop station in Toledo when I first started following music in summer 1994. It was in high rotation for months-even after it dropped off the national charts; they kept spinning it because the audience responded favorably to it (what a novel idea). I assume that with acts like Jon Secada and the Miami Sound Machine being big at the time, that it made sense to try to push for Rosco to be the Cuban Sammy Hagar. This dude’s got some mad pipes though. “Neon Moonlight” is one of the single most forgotten pop hits of the 90’s. I can’t even find him on Spotify, let alone this song. But it seems that those who do remember this track overwhelmingly have fond memories.
I would have enjoyed this show if people understood that the finale about “moving on” wasn’t THAT much of “ugly cry” and it was just a little bit of “happy cry”.
A criminally overlooked release from theb90s that should've had a lot more success. I still listen to it and love it. Great vocals and guitar; love that tone.
I moved from Michigan to Florida in the late 90s. Once I was all set up and settled in I hooked up my TV to test my cable service.... and this is what I saw. "Oh God", I thought. "What the hell have I gotten myself into?"
