So many RU-vidrs sell their house to fund the large caravan and vehicle to tow it, which is ok if that’s what you want or need to do. Even with the few expenses that go along with the rental process you will be way in front in the long run by having kept your house. When and if you finish full time travel you have a base to return to, or sell it and buy where you want or use the equity to purchase a second property to live in. It’s not getting any easier to get into the property market and it may be like that for some time to come. Good work on your financial decision. Cheers.
Great vid! (New subscriber). I am considering this van (also considering Avan Cruiseliner). Have you had any problems with this van snaking when towing? I’ve seen a few people mention this on internet forums. If so, how did you remedy?
Thank you for the lovely feedback :-) The Adria vans have a stabiliser hitch, which grips on to the tow ball. So towing is really smooth. No snaking :-) If I’m in a gully with strong winds I can feel the caravan moving, but in over 18 months of full-time towing I’ve only had this a few times and I just slow down. It really is a lovely van. I might do a video specifically on the Adria 402 :-)
Thank you Kristy. It is good to see that you have been enjoying your travels. The helpful hints and information on the various places you have visited and stayed are appreciated. I hope that you are keeping warm. Give Minnie a pat from all of us.
I saw your RU-vid channel, your content is very good. But your subscribers, views, like and comment are very low. I see your video have SEO issues. SEO solutions can increase your channel views, subscribers and your channel will appear RU-vid first page and Google first page. After that you can get much more organic audience. Let me know if you need any help.
Wow. I really admire your bravery. Good on you. Fulfilling your dream, and one that many would love to have the courage to do. Absolutely starting from scratch! It must have been so difficult to cull all your treasures and possessions. But you did it!! Happy travelling to Minnie and you. 😊❤
Thank you so much for the lovely comment. It’s easy to forget how challenging it all was, now that we have come out the other side. We are really both enjoying this travelling lifestyle :-) 💕
I use a ten minute method. For me 10 minutes is an easy target to reach, I use a task completed app, once task is completed. The tasks I have are 10min Meditation, 10min Stretching, 10 min journalling, 10 min VR boxing (Metaquest 2) and finally one that breaks this 10min rule. 30min walk with my dog. If I don't complete all tasks that's O.K. I have Learn'd to be kind on myself. I call all these tasks - My Selfcare routine.
That’s such a great idea with the 10 minutes. Some of my healthy habits have fallen away, so the 10 min idea is great! The VR boxing sounds interesting. I’m not familiar with Metaquest, so off to Google :-)
Thanks so much for this video and information. I’ve been considering buying a drone for a long time. Your information was really for beginners and encouraged me to take the step of buying one and be ok to take everything slowly. 😊
Thank you for the lovely feedback. Im so glad it gave you the confidence to buy a drone yourself :) I hope you have lots of fun with it, and you can definitely take it slowly. Ovals or empty beaches are two great places to practice and test out the features. I haven’t tested out everything on mine yet still :)
Hi Kristy, On the website, it says that you can’t use this oven over a naked flame but it looks like you are using gas? Am I missing something? I would love to have this for my camper but I would be using my gas stove. ❤
@@susanbiggins4316 I missed that on their website, but there is also a Facebook group called Omnia “Stovetop Oven” Cooktop and everyone in there cooks over gas. I’m not sure what they might mean about the naked flame. I haven’t had any problems cooking over gas :-) Before buying you could join that Facebook group and have a look at everything you can do with it and ask any questions.
Enjoyed your video it’s always fun learning new tips on photography when on your own. I often use the timer on my selfies. I have an Olympus so use the app on my phone as a remote.
Thank you for watching :-) …I love the sound of your camera with you being able to use the remote on your phone. I’ll need to update my camera one day :-)
Your photography is lovely. 😊 I really enjoy this type of video from people on the road. It inspires me to keep moving towards my goal of living in my van.
The canon remote switch hangs down. When I slide it into place like demonstrated in the video, it just keeps taking photos, which allows us to get into place. Try a few different poses. Get back to the camera, then push the slide back the other way so it stops taking photos. I end up with a few 100 photos, but just pick my favourites and delete the rest :-) I hope this helps?
😅 I did often wonder if you grabbed someone 😅, not Minnie, lol Sometimes the subtitles obscure the picture. Is there any way of moving if down further?
This has been so interesting to read this, and the fact that you have kept it so precisely makes it well worth checking. Overall I think you have done amazingly well, hope you enjoy this coming year as much. (I am not much of a traveller, just head off for the odd week when circumstances allow, but enjoy seeing what all of you ladies are doing.)
Thank you for the lovely feedback. We are both really looking forward to the coming year. Getting away when you can sounds nice, I hope you enjoy your time way xx
Thank you for this list of expenses. I will probably be starting on a trip around Australia later this year so this enables me to go into it a bit more aware. Thank you also for the outline of your van earlier and the yearly sum up earlier. I must confess I was a bit worried about the van in the sea in an earlier video but you explained it. I thought "oh no she is driving on the beach and got caught by the tide." King tides are common especially at Easter, so keep away from the beaches and low lying estuaries this Easter. Have safe trips and enjoy it. No reply is necessary. I will keep on watching. Give Minnie a pat for me. My friends have had three rescue Jacks and I have house sat two of them at various times. They are a ratbag of a dog, but so amusing. Regards.
Thank you for taking the time to comment :-) I hope you get to start your trip around Australia. It’s a beautiful place. Minnie says hello 👋 …and I will definitely stay away from low lying areas!
Hey Kristy, it is so good to have your realistic expenses and to compare. Whereas your food bill, takeaways, dining and groceries was much higher, my fuel was my highest at 30,000km, $6200 diesel. Thanks also for the categories, I must keep better track of things but work on $3000 for the month.
Thank you for sharing how it compares to your spending. I’m definitely going to work on bringing down groceries and eating out expenses :-) Would it help if I did an Excel simple template people could use?
@@unconditional1958 I’ll put one together and work out the best way to share with anyone who might find it helpful :-) It’s super easy to use on your phone.
It’s all fun and games until you see a headlamp and hear a steam engine bell, and then you realize that you’ve actually walked onto Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum property (they don’t slow down for people on the tracks, they speed up).
@MinnieandMe.ontheRoad no, no, I'm waiting for the sight or headlights, and the sound of a bell and horn also carried with the sound of a fast moving train.
