I have owned one for many years. I bought it because it felt good in my hand at the gun store. The front sights would fly off so tighten up the small set screw and use something like locktite to keep it in place. CCI is the only ammo it shoots without issue. Still, I like the gun. Takes awhile to break in. Good review.
I got the Smith & Wesson M&P .22 WMR and really like it. So far in 250 rounds I've had NO stoppages or failures to fire. My .22 WMR Carbine is a RUGER 96/22 lever action rifle with a Green River octagonal barrel (.22 LR barrel re-chambered to .22 WMR. so I could get the proper barrel length.) It's accurate but has a crappy trigger that CANNOT be improved.
I notice you have a major problem when you load up rack the action and stand around and talk even looking behind you with a live round in the chamber and the hammer back and not looking in the same direction your rifle is pointing ... you should ALWAYS be looking in the direction your rifle is pointing with a round chambered and hammer back ... that is just basic safety ....
Nothing as simpler or fun to shoot then a pump shotgun 👍 I need to get out more and practice it, but the " push pull" method seems to work well lessening recoil and getting back on target faster.
nuts forgot bayonet was 40.00 & stock kit was around 100.00 if ya want to try minis opsol makes a rubber peice fits in loading port works great if not minis just pull out an run 2.75 or 3 inch have fun
I love my Berg 590 Special Purpose which allows to attach a bayonet. I attached a S&W SW3B M-9 Bayonet. Believe me this shotgun with a bayonet ain’t no Joke. Btw, great video.
Picked one up. Was completely garbage. Finish wore right off on first range trip. Had to file front sight half way off to get it on the target. Horrible groups. Took it back and traded it in at a huge loss. Won't buy a Diamond Back ever again. Stay away!
This is a known flaw with this firearm. I tried to work with DB, and got jerked around by them, and ended up having the retailer take it back. The only way we could get mags out of cylinders is with a hammer and drift, and beat the hell out of it. I believe they drill the barrel too tight to fit 22lr and are creating too much back pressure when using mags.
You set the bolt soft on that first round. I did the same thing with mine first time out. Need to let it drop on its own and then there's no problem. Thanks for the video!
I've been missing the targets too at the range when i took my new APX-A1 Compact. I realized i'm not used to a trigger with a safety in the center of it. That makes me pull the trigger to the right at the very end of pull. :) i've been hitting too right due to that
I've seen numerous videos on these and this was the first one I seen with a issue. I read some of the comments so I feel a bit better. I just picked this gun up and haven't fired it yet. But the videos that I seen so far everyone really liked it and it's a pretty decent home defense shotgun that don't break the bank so hopefully I'll get the time to shoot it soon. But thanks for the video 👍🏻
had the same gun new from RK chokes were stuck the threads were terrible dirt ETC the trigger pull was really hard., so I cleaned it up stoned the parts cleaned and rethreaded the chokes and barrels works well now the trigger is still way too hard to pull but I shoot some through it and see if I lightens up.
I had the magazine fall apart the first time i inserted and attempted to remove it. The fix was tighten all the screws after reassembling the magazine n it seemed to resolve the dissambly of mag, the mag also releases if you push the bottom forward while depressing the mag release, if done correctly you will hear a click.
I have the Thunder plus ..I managed to hold 16+1 .. great gun first carry pistol I ever bought beginning of this yr and have about 400 plus rounds thru her
I got a defective RIA TM.22 Every 8 to 10 shots the firing pin would go right through the bullet shell and primer and gunpowder would blow out of every opening in the gun. My hand and face would fill like I got hit with scrap metal. I got the gun for my 8 year old son he got to shoot it first and now he afraid to shoot. Then RIA gave me the runaround when I tried to get it fixed so I paid sportsmen wearhouse to fix it for me. Not happy at all!! I will never buy anything from RIA again.
That sucks, I've definitely had my share of lemons. It really does leave a bad taste for the brand when that happens. I haven't had bad luck with RIA yet, but the odds are that eventually I will, to many stories like yours and I feel their quality is at best minimal. That said, every now and then I get a gem, the stars aligned and everyone working that day made a quality product, lol. If you're looking for a good .22 semi auto for your son I'd highly recommend the M&P 15-22, it's a bit more pricey but it is solid. It was my son's first rifle. There was a small lot awhile back that had the bolts milled out of spec, but Smith & Wesson handled it right I feel, just had to go online, enter your serial number, and if it fell in the range they sent you a go/no go test, if it failed they replaced the bolt. Hopefully your son gets better use out of the firearm now that it's been fixed. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment!
