On this channel, we want to share our everyday life on the 20-acre forest property. From endless property maintenance projects to beginner sawmill owner's adventures to woodworking DIYs. Stay with us as we learn how to deal with the huge woodsy property while starting to do simple woodworking projects for our house in the forest.
Hello! I did calibration to the sawmill head, to make sure that the blade measures exactly 1 inch from the bed. Between the blade and the bed its exactly 1 inch. And the ruler has to show exactly a 1-inch cut.
@@forestfamilylife the size of cut shd not slow mill unless blade pinched,it is my personal view a full clean up greace and alignment check would pay dividends, you can hear when saw is happy
You need to start the run farther from the stump, start with the roots not the actual stump, you need to go deeper till you get through the bottom of the stump( you are trying to take way to much at a time)(friction), by going shallow the machine fought itself and took 5times as long as it should have. You did great for a first try
Your having trouble lifting because the rpm is low rev it up more you get more lift. Also drive the forks under it more so it's closer and easier to lift. Tip of the forks is the least amount of weight. Some logs are heavier then others I know dogular fir is heavy and a cedar twice as thick is like a feather when you lift it
is a small stomp grinder if you let them dry they grind easy and you have to let the machine work it out cant push it 2 hard well it took you all night but you got it done
Good point, I believe if they would dry up a bit, it would make this task so much quicker and easier. But since the stumps are right on our front yard, we wanted to get rid of them asap.
@@forestfamilylife I would love to get one of these sawmills and just cut my own stuff just to do it. I’ve always wanted to do this for years. I love watching these videos.
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Yeshua ישוע (Jesus) and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the YHVH יהוה (LORD) shall be saved.” Romans 10:1-13
It's very good job. You are very talanted builder. But you have very much wood waste. You can use them for hitting this drying for wood. If you my idea? Do you want to use cheaper hitting?
I am very happy i found your channel. I live ukraine. And very want to learne english language. I veri want flight to USA. And i very want get to know with you. You are the bes family. Great job, Serj. You are so talented ;) You should start some private lessons teaching guys how to make things. David will be the first one to learn. I think it's a great idea to open your own woodworking school on the side :)
There's little point using slow motion. Anyone can choose to slow the video from within the playback controls and this is basically a rotary tool, it isn't a bullet crossing a finish line. It needlessly adds video length time.
Seems to be cutting slow. When was the last time the carbide teeth were changed on that machine? I rented a Home Depot machine and they changed the cutting teeth before I took it and it cut like very aggressively. Also I think you could have gone deeper into the soil to get more of the root
My tractor is not strong enough for these big oak stumps, although I did use tractor for a lot of smaller stumps couple years ago. Yeah totally didn't expect this machine to take this long to get the job done....
i have a 38HP diesel backhoe. Each of those stumps would have taken over an hour to dig out. To dig them efficiently you would need a 4 ton excavator or larger.
Hello from Maine. I also have an LX-55. I cut trees on my land and mill to build my shop. I cut white pine and the pitch is terrible, I cut balsam poplar and I love it, beautiful wood.
