I was a skateboarder, my friend was a BMX’r. In the 8th grade, we would watch this movie and make fun of it. Pause the moment where our guy agrees to a date….he looks like a total idiot. Our bad guy is Bart Connor….an Olympic gymnast from Oklahoma. We were from Oklahoma. Thank gawd for Matt Hoffman (the world’s sickest freestyle BMX’r) and the Flaming Lips. Oklahoma would have sucked without them.
78 here, born and raised in Southeast Texas, the 80s/90s were the best, literally! Don’t get me wrong, have plenty of scars from the tough times but all in all wouldn’t trade it for anything, tunes/movies like this hit that nostalgia wave, blockbuster, malls, skating rinks and the chill freedoms, man it was the coolest time ever, sincerely wish everyone could get a sense of what that was like, I bet it would change the entire world 🤙🏻💚⚡️
go back to the 80s when i wasnt hit by the car i think i might of been the coolest kid in the hood running around in the 80s with no parents watching you. but then i got hit by a car when i was 5 then i wasnt cool anymore
Born in 64 the 80s being a teen into my 20s was magic. We had the best of it. Before safe sex , just say no , lock your doors and dont trust anyone ..... we were wide open to anything. Shame what the world has become.
One of the greatest songs of all time. One of the greatest periods of all of humanity. One of the best movies. All of this is true. It's a euphoric feeling that these days are gone for good.
Rad means "wheel" in German. (Fahrrad "driving wheel" is a bike.) Wonder if the creators knew this when they named it, or if it's just a happy coincidence?
