Just got back from 7 days on the Spirit to Alaska yesterday. It was a good time. I was impressed with the crew and their level of service. The talent on board was great, too. My sister's kids as well as my son all got swimmers itch from the pool and the food wasn't always nice to my tummy but it was worth it.
Great video. I trained on the beastmaker 2000 for years but after a break from climbing, I think the simplest board is all I'll ever need again. This looks perfect and you can still train monos on a positive edge. No need for pockets and pinch training is best done with blocks and weights anyway. That leaves slopers, which is my favorite in the gym so I don't feel like my home board needs it.
AYO, yess pls more vlogs, wana see more of Victoria and ur adventures! More lofi beats to match the scenery and 3rd person footage would be sick for ur upcoming vlogs ♥️
You're actually the only one that did a proper review on this. You don 't need to buy a Board with pockets. Just drop some fingers. I dislike the 15mm edge for open handed hangs, as the rounding is quite sharp, when using that grip, but its perfect for Half crimping.
I had no idea you joined a short while ago, you are a natural :D I have a investing channel myself, been going at it for about since the last lockdown.😀
man i found this site... its fishy, i dont trust it. I bought with mastercard and if they never show up(2 board) ill just contact the credit card. Its like less than 50$ CAD and this site.... free shipping... yeah. is i ever received them ill post it haha www.ircmaniac.com
For anyone looking to buy this board in 2020+, I HIGHLY recommended. I’ve hade mine for about 2 1/2 years now, and I still use it all the time with no issues. Still runs and glides smoothly like it’s right out of the box. (Great review btw)
Did anyone else get this board and have problems with the noise? Mine creaks pretty loud and idk why. I took the trucks off to remove the plastic and maybe I put it back on wrong? Lmk
Mines still pretty creaky, so unfortunately the board is just built that way. I'm not sure of any way to completely get rid of the squeaking, but you might have luck cleaning all the parts and just breaking it in after riding it for a while.
I need HELP!! I wanna buy it but every site i visit does not ship to Sweden and I really REALLY want one. If you know of any site that does ship to sweden and have the board please tell me.
It has a bit of give, but if you're looking for a lot of flexibility I would suggest getting a drop-through longboard or a cruiser (similar to the one in the video) that specifically advertises the level of flex (i.e. a rating of soft flex). For this board, I would say the amount of flex is good enough for a starter board, as the board also starts to "loosen up" if you use it long enough.
I know I’m late to this video but I really want to get into long boarding and I love the way this one looks. So on Amazon people are saying that you shouldn’t worry about the weight limit and it holds them. Like someone said they were 300lbs and it holds them perfectly fine. And then someone else said they were 250lbs and they also had no problem with it. But on the ‘Retrospec’ website it said the weight limit was 220lbs. I’m over that by about 13lbs (I’m pretty sure) so I just wanted to ask someone with more knowledge than me. Do you think I’m safe riding it? Because I’m going long boarding with my friends once (if) I get it and I don’t want it to snap and break while I’m riding because that would be super embarrassing and awkward. If you don’t know the answer to that it’s fine. I just really want to know.
You should be fine! I don't think these limits are very accurate, as the weight limit can also depend on how you distribute the weight on your board. If you take care of your board and long-board in a safe manner, then the board should be able to able to bear the weight!
Mine just came in the mail yesterday and it was really easy for me to get comfortable on it. 10/10 beginner board. Only issue is I have yet to get the plastic wrap from under the trucks out lmao.
I would say the board is more on the rigid side, with just a little bit of flex. However, the rigidity can be attributed to the strength of the deck, as it is a very durable board.
