Using the ID numbers should only be necessary if correctly naming them has not worked..... A good example of this might be a very very obscure show like Kevin Rose had a show in 2003 called The Broken..... Not really a show but more of an internet show..... There is nice cover image and info on tvdb if you use the correct ID but there's a lot of incorrect things with the broken and the title that the app will mistake it for before it ever thinks it's the broken by Kevin Rose. This is one of many obscure examples you would need to do this for but in general for TV series that's super easy use a great free app called rename my TV series and it will automatically take them correctly for you assuming of course the episode number it already has is correct, it will then match it with a proper format and you can specify the correct format you want it named as but in general I highly recommend something that never fails me looking something like: House of the Dragon S01E01 If people are actually serious about their media server setup you can easily look these things up for example Plex has a very good page explaining the correct way to rename things and in general on any source people find this media from you will usually see the correct way to name your legitimately downloaded copyright free legal content. It should be very obvious the correct way to name these and you will learn in no time how to do this fast and correctly for hassle-free additions to your jellyfin media server or whatever media server your choice is to watch your free legally obtained content.
I'm really aggravated that I landed on this video. I thought I was going to get some useful information on how to migrate from access to MariaDB. Not literally perform one of the simplest tasks ever. I feel like 90% of the other viewers thought the same thing I did and we're very disappointed
To anyone finding this. A rather slow method. Just rename the file name adding the imdb part tt8774798 and jellyfin automatically replaces the image. So "wolf 2020 tt8774798.mp4" would work.
