I’m 22 and have extremely similar thoughts to what Ashish has. I was also from GEP and Raffles. Glad that he has found a path for himself. I’m also on a similiar path right now! Thanks for the wonderful interview Rachel.
Hey Rach! Loving these episodes. Genuine question though, where do you fit God into all of these? I believe you talked about your faith before as well.
Commercial litigation is a mercenary job albeit prestigious... You work for whoever / whichever company pays the highest price. Glad that she found something suitable for her :) On a side note though I don't really feel it's unreasonable to ask a woman about pregnancy and not the man - the fact is that women are the ones becoming pregnant, having to physically go to the labour room, and are more entitled to maternity leave, etc.

Thanks for sharing. It gives one a deeper understanding of the thoughts n actions of a person whom one may had judged based on one's own perspective. Thanks WK for being so frank. Thanks Rac for creating this and many other interviews which enlighten viewers. Much to learn from both of u!
Scared me for a moment with that B&W thumbnail with gold font characters. For a brief moment, I thought she passed away unexpectedly. Glad it’s nothing.
@Rach & wives out there ... when husbands missed wives' bids of attention and wives subsequently articulated their needs to husbands for attention at that moment, and husbands replied "give me xxx mins and I'll come back to you" ... 🙄frustrating yah?
Wow!!! Lovely ladies climbing up mountains! My thoughts is old minded, is a man task! Appreciate the lady can do better job and reach that peak in this decade! I always think lady cannot do it, they got to born baby and bring up precious children to succeed them. Admire them, wonder there is any sacrifice, trade off, price tag or compromise but they put it very simple and make it to the top.
from this interview, i don't see why not? we need more women leaders and possibly a better alternative to someone else who says we don't need a big space. PAP is losing it's lustre amongst the common crowd. There's something very grounded about her and it's a quality to have being in a ruling party. Disclaimer: I'm not a hardcore ruling party supporter lest the keyboard trolls awakes from under their mouldy bridges ;-)
@@zerocurry Yes initially. But they compensate by putting them on the boards of numerous GLCs and they can accumulate decent directors fees. So the deficit is not much. Say she has the potential to become the first lady Deputy Prime Minister then over.time the pay differential will be equaised.
I hope for him looking back 10Y from now,he has no regrets on lost opportunities and insufficient cpf savings & Medisave for his old age. Only time will tell
what lost opportunities are you referring to? he is living his life. he probably has ways to make money through investing etc, and I don't think he care much about money.
I’m so sorry u had such a traumatic time in school. It’s so undeserving for a child who shd be protected. It is not your fault. I’m so sorry society and ppl fail you and fault to understand and support your recovery. Your life journey made life not worth living and full of sadness. Hearing you share your story showed your resilience and overcoming spirit. May you have the best of life from now onwards and be truly happy.
True stories and amazed that he is a better version now! We need more videos like this to create inclusivity and this helps to expand our humanity and learnt from their experience for our children too. Great vid.. good job man for sharing ur story and happier now!
Glad he mentioned the part about detention without trial and how scary it can be. I think many people unquestioningly support the govt because the law seems like a good way to deal with suspected terrorists or other serious crime cases. And people would give up this small bit of 'rights' to feel safe, thinking that as long as we don't commit crimes we are safe. But with this type of law if somehow the Police gets it wrong, an innocent person can be detained indefinitely with no trial...imagine how scary that is. We are basically betting that our police will NEVER ever get it wrong and will never be compromised.
Hi Rach. Thanks for inviting Whye Kee for this week’s episode. Thanks for holding the safe space for your guest to share their stories. Heartfelt thanks to Whye Kee for being honest and open about your struggles and how you overcome them. Most importantly, thanks for giving and sharing your wisdoms, resources and experiences with others who are in need. I have learnt so much from this episode: 1. Your responses and actions determine your future. 2. When the world closes their door on you, you have to dig deeper within to open another door for yourself. 3. Accepting others as who they are as a human being instead of their past or appearance. 4. Great ideas don’t come out of nowhere, it appears because of the hard work and planning that led to it. 5. You have to first give what you have before you can start receiving what you need. 6. Your act of kindness to someone could change their life. Be kind. I am definitely rewatching this episodes to write down the key lessons from Whye Kee’s stories. Thank you both! May you be blessed.
Love Sara, she is so inspiring, elegant , and yet so human in the way she portrays herself. I am one of those who used to think of etiquette being rather stuffy, but she's changed my view.
wholesome and golden. ❤this content will help many couples especially in today's context where most people give up at the slightest cue of disagreements..🥰.
I left a career that I thought I couldn’t live without and navigating this new season with lots of self doubts, yet at the same time I feel so at peace with where I am. I struggle to communicate how I feel when people ask me how I am but Karen you’ve said it so well, “being face to face with limits, give you this gift of clarity.” And I couldn’t agree more! Thank you Karen for sharing and Rachel for being such a great host! 😊
Reshuffling dynamics post kid need such difficult conversations. I think the keen desire for each other to thrive is really so impt. ❤ thanks for sharing again!
