Love this track and it's a crime that I haven't played the game yet. Here are few recommendations of mine: - Outland: The Sisters - Outland: The End of All Things (Ari Pulkinen is a musical genious) - Another Code/Trace Memory: Searching for Truth - La Mulana: Mr Explorer - La Mulana: Fearless Challenger - Streets of Rage V5: New Wave - Final Fantasy XIII: Sunleth Waterscape - Final Fantasy IX: You're Not Alone ...sorry, got a bit carried away there 😅
I got asked to boost this track on the Bass guitar a few months ago from a sub. Was quite a challenge getting those staccato notes locked in with how fast it was. Great track though!
at 0:51 a big piranha plant should have popped from the big pipe but the player was too close and it didnt so in that portion there is no plant singing... but even without the plant singing, you can hear the melody while mario is pushing the note blocks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6YO6JE5lF8E.html
I'm so glad you reviewed this. There are a number of reasons why I love this track, some of which you touched on: the shifting moods, the way the percussion switches seamlessly from classical marching snare to straight rock & roll drumming; and the fact that this theme has something I've never heard before in a boss fight: a second ending. It's incredibly effective at raising the tension: unless the player just sat there for 5 minutes and listened to the whole thing, they're not quite sure what's coming next. And if they're not sure about the music, they're definitely not sure about the boss fight. It's for reasons like this that I believe Octopath Traveler has the greatest soundtrack of any video game.
I couldn't have said it better! It's just mind blowing how effective everything is and how it transitions seamlessly between sections! I didn't pick up the two endings tbh, need to listen to it again, and hopefully get to playing it 😅 thank for your suggestions 🙌
The composer of this track, Rintaro Soma, has actually worked on the previous game, Sonic Frontiers, and his work in that game is TOP NOTCH. I highly suggest checking out 4-3, 4-6, and 4-F from Sonic Frontiers.
hello! Thank you so much to show us how you use Oculus Spatializer. I wondered if some you have already experience to create and, setup and, "coding" and, build to release an app for Oculus Quest 2 and Quest 3 ? I mean: I use Ambisonic files who runs well I want, plus Stereo etc... I Set these in Wwise under Windows and there everything runs fine : ) Wwise is connected with Unity and, everything runs aswell under Windows I use and test " Oculus Spatializer " under Audiokinetic Wwise So... Everything works and runs well under Windows to the EndPoint that the Quest 2 or 3 Headset is! But, when I make a build for Androïd -- the Quest Headset is running under Androïd -- I get lot of Issues with the sounds! All visuals parts runs perfectly. _ CONFIGURATION: . Powerfull PC's under Windows 10 last packages . Wwise 2021.1.14 . Unity 2022.3.18f1 . Quest 3 under Version 62 System Run + AKG K612 pro Audio Headset Some of you have any clues? Lot of thanks in advance all the best éliane
I haven't found any errors like that yet, this project runs on quest 2 btw. Have you tried turning oculus spatializer and using Wwise's instead to see if it works that way you could narrow down the culprit maybe?
@@Amadeus.Herrera Amadeus, hello ! Thank you so much to answer me so faster! : ) May be I missed something with the documentation from Oculus Dev. Or, may be I forgot to setup something in the Top Hierarchie in Wwise, I mean with the " Audio Device " and the " Master Bus " inside de AUDIO tab in the project explorer! Some clues or advises? I will try your first one.
@@aefv.eliane Hey! 👋Sorry for the late response I had to double check. 🙂 I did nothing to the Master Bus, however I added a sub Bus I called "3D" So normal Stereo tracks were routed to through the Master Bus and the Spatialized sound through the 3D Sub-Bus. In that Sub Bus you go to the "Mixer Plug-in" tab and there is where you add the Oculus Spatializer, its here from 11:30 to 12:30 approx👆
@@Amadeus.Herrera Hello, Don't worry for your late response, It's ok ! : ) Thank you for your explanation! This is very helpfull and kind. I also tried Resonance Audio and I got powerfull results with less CPU consomption : ) I will advise you about the release of my project. Cheers *
"why are they singing" In Mario wonder when you collect something called a wonder and you start seeing some crazy stuff like if you did some drugs or something..... Mario and the gang thook way to many mushrooms before the adventure in this game
This is the theme of Garl, one of the main characters of the game. You'll feel its impact when it plays. Also, there are at least 2 more variations of it. I'll not spoil you, though. It's a very, VERY important component of the story.
For your next reaction, I would recommend "Decisive Battle 1" from the first Octopath Traveler soundtrack. In Sea of Stars' "Encounter Elite", you already heard (IMO) the greatest boss-battle theme ever written; I therefore suggest the second-greatest.
@@Amadeus.Herrera I have plenty to recommend, so I'm just gonna list a bunch, and you can just pick and choose whatever you think would interest you the most. Engage The Enemy, Counterattack, and Carrying The Weight Of Life are kind of the main themes from XC1, 2, and 3 respectively, so there's a decent starting point. Gaur Plains from 1, Roaming the Wastes from 2, and Captocorn Peak from 3 are all stand out bgm area tracks. Mechanical Rhythm, Still Move Foward, and Keves Battle are standard battle themes You Will Know Our Names, You Will Recall Our Names, and You Will Know Our Names Finale are all kinda related as they are for stronger enemies called unique monsters. Unfinished Business, Bringer Of Chaos! Ultimate, and Moebius Battle are all fantastic boss battle themes. And there's even a handful of tracks with lyrics, a few of those being Beyond The Sky, Drifting Soul, and Where We Belong. Sorry for the long list, all this isn't even going into the side campaigns of the games, or the Wii U only XCX, I just think this series has some of the best music in gaming history.
Wooooow thank you so much for the extensive list I really didn't really know where to get started the soundtracks are MASSIVE, so far I had just added 'Gaur Plain' to my list so I'll definitely add more :D Can't wait to listen to them I'm sure they SLAP! I've heard only good things! Thanks again! :D
@@Amadeus.Herrera I’m glad you like them! Again, I’m sorry if I overwhelmed you with a long list, or put a lot on your plate, I just think these are some great games with outstanding OSTs.
@@tylercoon1791 Hahaha no worries it's good to get some guidance I am thinking on doing a longer format to cover more of those songs at once I bet they're truly great! 🤯
@@Amadeus.Herrera Sea of Stars have a different soundtrack which depends the time in the game. One for the day, another for the night. There's another variation with the pirate crew. Like the battle theme, it have 4 variation (Day, Night, Pirate and 2.1) and I think it's crazy and beautiful. And listen dance of 1000 suns, banger.
@@ancredesel9491 Oh my! that's exactly what I like to hear hahaha, I'll definitely check those out, looks like I have homework to do, any particular gems? :D
If you take suggestions, Id recommend listening to some of the tracks from epic battle fantasy 5 and bullet heaven 2 as well as the whole epic battle fantasy series, its a hiden music gem
One of my favorite tracks from this game is 'whispering winds: the surpents luliby' you should also check music from the game 'the messenger' same game studio, same composer
I will definitely check those out, I've been staying away from the messenger because they say it's super difficult but I'll get into the music first then XD
If you'll play the game, listen to "Dance of 1000 Suns" as well. It's an important motif throughout the game. And the best character's song :) Imma not spoil anything though.
There are so many bangers in this game. Listen to "Eminent Rise of the Triumvirate" And Volcanic Pursuit as well. The bass slaps harder than my grandma.
