Hello, RU-vid community. My intention for this channel is to provide quick (sub-5-minute) videos on cutting and programming keys to common cars. Yes, all of the examples here are when everything goes as planned. That does not always happen! dealerkeyvolution@gmail.com
Darn, wish I was in New England, I would have you do this in a heartbeat to a 24 Duramax 2500 pro. Trying to find somebody in Arizona. Nonetheless good video!
I’m new to this industry, trying to learn as much as possible. When buying dealer software I’m assuming you must purchase the software and then purchase an update for that software each year? What if you don’t purchase the update you are locked out?
Dealer software is not like the scan tool updates. You are either in subscription or out of subscription. All updates are included. FDRS, WiTech, Odis, MDARS, etc, are like this.
I'm not sure. Please don''t buy a tool for one car, it doesn't make sense. Even if it worded for me, I'd feel bad recommending it if it didn't work for you.
Door is currently open allowing access to screw/lock removal....Plan of attack for what Used to be a simple Lockout wth the Lishi?......buy a Code and make a key?
i never grab my key tool plus for basic car programming, but it is my go to for benz, bmw, vw, cloning and universal remotes. its worth its weight in gold
@@markmccormickkeys if it has an on boarding procedure. It’s always listed in the manual the correct way. Edited to add: I just checked the online manual. No mention of self on boarding keys. So must not be available on these vehicles.
When I ordered two transits for my shop back in November 2023, they arrived February and April 2024. I assumed I wouldn't be able to program keys and ordered them with 4 keys each. I was surprised that keys were only 65 dollars each when ordered with the new vehicle. These OEM Ford keys are not well made, I would love to be able to program a chipped key with a separate remote, the spring for the flip out blade is weak, like Ford quality.
My only issue with NASTIF is they are a pain in the ass to join. I have tried to to send them all credentials five times with no success. All I get are repeated robot emails to resolve. Very frustrating.
The aftermarket tools are reverse engineered OE tools. Essentially OE and aftermarket are the opposite of each other. It would take a lot of negotiations, R&D and legislation in order to make it happen.
@@markmccormickkeys from what I’ve heard, everything is moving in that direction but it’s moving very slow. In order to implement the OE access features, you got to throw away your years of development and licensing and develop a new system in collaboration with OE. Considering how slow everting is moving in NASTF, it’ll take years to implement even in limited capacity. We’re talking 2030. I would like to be proven wrong on that though.
@@markmccormickkeys it just sucks how we jump through all these rules or regulations to get nestf credentials and then a new tool comes out and states it does new gm vehicles, so the need for nastf is no longer needed. Yeah let's apply for nastf, HUH, new tool no nastf required so what's all the fuzz about? Lies on top of lies to get people to join nastf. I joined nastf and haven't had the need to use it, it's just there for in "case". I regret I ever applied. The money spent and time I should of just bought the new tool coming out that states it does the new canfd no nastf required. Makes me sick.
I'm unaware of the Supergoose. It looks promising. Do you know if it works with WiTech? If it does, you should be good to go.stellantisiop.com/iop/app/landing
Does the im508 have to be updated.mine has been expired for 2 years. I am doing a 2016 renegade all keys lost and says can not retrieve pin password.it was last updated in 2021
Another great idea, thanks. I do have the 303 license and have done 2022 and 2023 models. That did happen to me and the tool will say that it's not authorized.
ACDP or Keytool plus for a beginner and try to do VW, BMW and other European cars thanks for your honest opinion with much respect and I appreciate watching your videos and learning a lot
You balance what tools you buy in accordance with demand. We don’t have many Volvo in our area. It is nice to see the different tools in action. What would be fun is to see if those adapters work with other machines
