Hi Kim, my grandma used to have a loom and made rag rugs. I watched her for hours as she worked to dismantle old, worn out clothes to make fabric strips then sew them together then braid them then weave them into rugs. It is quite a process. Rag rugs are a work of art in their own right, and, yet, this is a very clever way to get a lot of fabric strips for junk journals!

These are sooo cute!! You had all the perfect pieces. Also, your husband buying you the band aids is so thoughtful of him. They work because they're crayons and also because being in school means needing band aids. Great video.
OH MY GOSH - I am making these for a show in October. I absolutely love your take on these . Now I have tried 6 days to Sunday on getting the label off the crayons 🖍️ Can you PLEASE share how you make that happen? I wanted to make a book marker You took this all next level . TYFS
What a great find!! I, too, rescue cotton fabrics from the thrift and garage sales. I am always interested in the projects someone else started. Sometimes I keep a piece intact as an ode to the original creator. I'm a quilter and any random fabric is a gold mine for me. The folded strips are called bias binding strips, which is used for the rounded edges of quilts. Can't wait to see what you create with all of these. Happy Happy Joy Joy!!
