Borthwick has taken England from being the worst team in the 6N, to one of the best. Coaching and team selection makes a huge difference in this game. We - the Welsh - just need to get rid of Gats. Again 🤦♂️.
Guys do not end with egg on your face on Saturday. Both teams have 15 players and 80 minutes on the park, neutral grounds (even though closer to home for Wales), It is a 50/50 for both teams no matter who you favour.....
The Wales pack is really weak compared to the Boks, so it might be a long afternoon with many scrum penalties against them. I can't even see them do anything with the backline. Would love to see what game plan they opt for
You’d have to be a particular type of masochistic optimist, to travel all the way to HQ and pay to support this third (?) string wales team against SA. What on earth is rugby up to, serving up mismatches like this and expecting to grow the game.
No disrespect to Roos, but the next big thing on Number 8 is going to be Cameron Hanekom. Also, Frans Malherbe can make a strong case to be the greatest tighthead in the history of the game and Vincent Koch is just about equal to him. And as we all know, tightheads win matches.
This Warren Gatling nightmare he couldn’t get the rules changed so I stood a chance. Perhaps whales get a new coach now. It’s the only chance they have of improving the team.
As a bock supporter we know that wales will not go away and will never give up they are a very proud rugby nation . It will not be a runaway score, hope it is going to be an epic game with no pressure on the youth in the wales squad.
This praising of South Africa is going overboard, 2 of their sides never qualified for the last eight, the Bulls are the flag bearers, the ospreys showed how to deal with these big forwards, dispatching 4 of their big teams, the altitude beat them against the Bulls after they beat the Stormers previous week, that's with young players and a long injury list, this may not be the cake walk people think, world cup winners never seem to perform to well after, and when did Wales have regional teams that were world beaters, enlighten me, ospreys are flag bearers and Cardiff who accumulated most bonus points in the URC are improving, with young squads and tight budgets. Rather than go bust it's better to cut your cloth and reorganize, last time Gatland threw a team together before the WC they beat England and should have won in Twickenham, Wales are in a experiment phase, with 7 locks not available, and a players sidelined, the depth is building, Wales done well in the last WC I feel the nuts and bolts are coming together, this tour and a autumn series will give invaluable experience, and that's what's happening.
None of those wales players would make a Springbok team even if the first second and third options for the Springboks were unavailable. Wales are look at a 50+ point thrashing.
Anybody know if we can stream the game on the RugbyPass RU-vid channel? I've set up an account with RugbyPass, but would prefer to play it via RU-vid on my TV - casting from the app on my phone to my TV is not an option.
Big challenge for the Boks will be: can they play like world champions as favourites? They need to grow up and demolish a Wales team that just doesnt look strong enough.
Just to say Jack Conen isn't injured but he is not going for personal reasons....his wife is due a baby. I would just swap over o'brien for frawley here..other than that the team almost picks itself now given the number of injuries. Besides mack hanson and ian henderson and jack cohen the truely big losses are JGP and Keenan of course..huge step down from there.
Amazing time for him. I love watching him play so not seeing his name was saddening to me until I saw he had personal reasons. So all the best for him, gives farrel some good time to find out what youngsters can do.
I think the loss of JGP might be the decider of these 2 matches. Yes, SA have a lot of injuries, but they also have solid replacements. Whereas Ireland have nobody close to JGP as a 2nd choice. It would be like France playing without Dupont.
Ireland could always recruit from nz again. I'm sorry but there is always an excuse for the irish. You beat the boks in the groups so therefore you are the true champions. The ref was on SA side , rugby is not even the irish numer one sport etc etc. .now Ireland are playing without the Dupont equivalent? Maybe the lack of depth comes from the local lads not been given a chance? Maybe the youth system needs improving? Maybe don't have the bulk of your squad from one team? Always an excuse. Let's not forget, France played with Dupont in France and still lost, great game, but still lost. The boks went through a tough few years, ranked 6th, loosing to Italy, Argentina and Japan in a world Cup,. The young lads were given a chance, and by luck we got a great coach, and now we see the success. Northern hemisphere teams go shopping outside your shores. You don't have an identity like the boks do. Hated style of rugby by most, but teams know more or less what south african rugby is about.
I remember Murray got injured before we played the all blacks and marmian was in everyone was saying we would lose because we didn't have Murray. Marmian had one of the best games of his life. What we need is to protect the ball. At the ruck control possession and frustration for them will set in.
@@marwaandavids8438South Africa are fast coming up with excuses as well…give your bleating a rest. Ireland are not giving excuses…you just searching for anything to bash on about
Wales have absolutely nothing to lose and everyone writes them off. Nice pep talk being done by all and sundry for them ahead of the game. The Boks will have one eye on the Ireland series so I think the Boks will struggle more than people anticipate. From a South African fan.
