Fishing has given me the opportunity to have the best friends imaginable, grow personally/professionally, and has given me a platform to share with others.
From a young kid trout fishing on the Clinch River with my dad, the love of fishing has always coursed through my veins. My years in college were marked by more time spent on the water than in a classroom. I cut my teeth learning how to fish for big fish from the bank. My goal is to provide creative content that allows people to learn all the ins and outs of fishing, while also promoting the beauty that is an innate part of that. I want my channel to be a place where people can escape and feel like they're on an adventure with me and my family/friends. Come along on our crazy adventures fishing all across the US, meeting new people, and exploring the local culture we stumble into on the way.

I use a stick as well . Been doing that for decades . I've seen the cardboard tube trick before , but , it is a little more aggravating since it like to pop off the chuck every so often as we saw . The drawback with the stock is if you reach the end of the line on the spool and are distracted , it will get your attention very quickly . I once put a nice ABU halfway through the drywall . The reel was fine tho , luckily . Another trick is to use a split bolt in lieu of a stick . You just run a razor blade down through the split to cut the old.line.off the bolt when you are done . It's even easier if you hear the razor blade with a torch first .

Something in me can not watch catch and release because I only fished for catch and cook all my life(especially catfish). I can’t see making fishes mouth’s sore just for sport.
