Benavidez is would be a great light heavyweight and maybe cruiser weight. Heavyweight is a whole different beast though. He would have to put on a bunch of weight and hope his power carries over. It’s one thing to knockout/knock down fighters at 168-175. It’s another to knockdown/knockout fighters at 220+.

I greatly misjudged Benavidez, he has awesome character and respect..wish him all the best. He didn`t wait for the prima donna to give him the fight he had courage to move up and didn`t picked an easy fight in my opinion. If Gvozdyk hasn`t aged, it will be hell in that ring.

This fight of his light heavyweight debut against oleander gvozdyk a good quality opponent which is a former good Champ then and whom beat and put him in coma and disability a former p4p heavy puncher Adonis Stevenson but until oleander faced off Arthur beterbiev whom demolished him easily in 8th round Knocked out! So I think this up coming fight on June 15th is a good test for David how’s he looks at 175 pounder.
