Paul Griggs has been a professional musician since 1968.
He was a member of "OCTOPUS" who supported many well known groups including "CREAM" and "YES". They had one L.P. and several singles released. The band was run by Paul and his brother Nigel who eventually joined top New Zealand band SPLIT ENZ.
When OCTOPUS finally disbanded, Paul went on to join vocal group GUYS n' DOLLS and their first single "THERE'S A WHOLE LOT OF LOVING" went straight to number two in the British charts. In 1978 they had the honour of supporting FRANK SINATRA for a week of concerts at THE ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL in London,
In 1986 he was a finalist in "A SONG FOR EUROPE" with his composition "I'M SORRY" and a year later his song "NO MORE TEARS" was runner up in a song contest that was organised and judged by PAUL McCARTNEY.
Paul's song "I DON'T WANNA LOSE YOU" was recorded by his boyhood hero the late LONNIE DONEGAN.
The reference to Dwane Eddy at 1.43 is a classic that only Guitar Players would understand, I have so enjoyed his music over the years as I have constantly discovered what he has done, he inspired so many musicians, from mark Knoefler, John Lennon to Tom Jones, a fabulous Talent, I have so much more I could say but I would just sound like a gushing Groupie
Guy N Dolls - What a great group of performers with lead singers. The male lead, Dominic Grant, and female lead, Martine Howard are awesome. Wished Howard stayed with them.
Interesting to note that, as opposed to five years later when artists were filmed "playing" electric guitars with no cords, here we have two "acoustic" looking guitars, but both the arch top and Lonnie's flat top have clearly visible cords. I remember this on the radio as a child and being amused by the "fooled you".
Tina Charles needed a stylist, hairdresser, and makeup artist. She has a good voice but tpu need more than that. Some of the songs are filler that don't work.
I listened to this song in 1961. I never forgot it, but then it popped up on RU-vid. I see Lonnie Donegan sang it. I think it must be a different Lonnie Donegan. Nope, it's THE Lonnie Donegan.
Fantastic, at 73 I have been jigging around the house like a teenager. My brother used to buy the Lonnie records and I can remember him playing the on his gigantic stereo system (which I was not allowed to touch) officially" 🤫. There were two (little known) songs which he sung The Party's Over and Over the Rainbow which I still think are the best versions of these timeless songs. Although Lonnie passed away over 20 years ago he has provided decades of enjoyment and memories and I am sure will do for many more.
This is called Skittle ! When the Beatles started out it was extremely liked in England ! HeeHaw in the 60’s and 70’s used the songs as Country Music !
I was nobody, i was a child, I WAS NOBODY'S CHILD, but i was never alone, i was never alone, Not any time, this is my memory, and my memoral to th past, to the presemt amd the future, God loves you, open your eyes and know he loves you

Oh… wow! Thanks for that! I’ve watched steam, diesel and electric from this station. I once lived not so far away. In the early 70’s I walked from WN to WGC crossing the Digswel viaduct! Not recommended I hasten to add. Fantastic blast from the past! ❤
