My ranking is Imagination, Afternoon Swim, L'immensite, Meteore, Pacific Chill, Orage Waiting to sample Sur la Route. On paper it looks like something i would love but i also thought the same thing about Pacific Chill.

Afternoon Swim was my first as well and now looking for more. At least with Fragrances, now that I tried LV, 90% of other fragrances come across so cheap. Even YSL or Chanel fragrances. LV has more uniqueness in the smells, but also made with much higher quality ingredients and MUCH smoother composition. Obviosuly, with Afternoon Swim, the longevity is not great and the projection after dry down is way less. But it's still currently my top fragrance.
Love untamed… I agree shaped by the wild is a bit challenging… try Salish sea!! So beautiful… smells just like the Pacific Northwest!!! Chocolate earth is interesting as well .😊
Shaped by the Wild was much sweeter than I was expecting which threw me off, still good though. Salish Sea has been on my list, I’ll try to get a sample…and chocolate earth looks interesting too! Thanks for the comment🙏🏻
@@TaylorArnett2Salish Sea is really good! I really like Chocolate Earth as well. From what I understand, it was reformulated - so you’ll see earlier reviews that talk about it being VERY earthy and mushroomy. The new formulation is much more chocolatey with notes of earth and mushroom in the background. I haven’t smelled the original formulation, but I love the current one.

HOW? How does one channelize this ? Let’s say one manages to hold it for a month even and then it builds up.Even if one does not watch porn, everyone has a fantasy woman or man in their mind. And then the trigger happens. It’s as if an outside force is provoking you and waiting for that opportunity to trigger you - say you are frustrated, upset, anything negative . Unless one knows how to take this sexual energy n channel into more creative side, one will be helpless. Easier said than done. No wonder this did NOT get one comment even 😢
Damn I was really hoping somebody was gonna finally say that DP is trash! I got a bottle and got rid of that 2 weeks later. I just don’t want or do I want any man around me smelling like makeup. No homo! Just saying.
I vibe more with the ratings and reviews on Parfumo than Fragrantica. Ratings on fragrantica are a little bit skewed because it’s prone to being review bombed. It’s like the rottentomatoes to Parfumo’s letterboxd. I’ve tried H24, Ganymede and Bois Imperial and I like Bois the best. It is also made by Quentin Bisch so it’s a bit reminiscent of Ganymede. It is also quirky, modern and classy but it is more approachable, wearable and cleaner. Check out UrbanDweller’s review of it which happens to have the same style of reviewing as you: candid and direct to the point.
Thanks for the comment, I’m just going down the Parfumo rabbit hole recently and while there’s less reviews I think they are higher quality. Lots of low effort reviews like you said on Fragrantica. Interesting, Bois Imperial was not on my radar but I’m going to look into it and check out that review…I appreciate the tip🙏🏻
Yes it can be very overpowering with the booze I agree, I usually go with less sprays unless I want to choke everyone out. I haven’t tried Baraonda I’m about to look it up, thanks for the tip my friend🙏🏻
I think it beats Afternoon Swim on longevity but I agree it suffers from that problem like so many freshies. I’m starting to think that’s just the nature of certain ingredients/scent profiles, but it’s a bummer nonetheless
I really appreciate your videos. Keep making them! You have really good taste. There are certain fragrance youtubers that are popular but don't have great taste in my opinion. It's great to find someone who has similar taste in fragrances as myself.

Imagination sniff out of the bottle smells ok / solid but once you spray it and wait 10-20 min man it’s amazing . I’m not kidding I get 3-4 hours strong and easy gets me all the way through work day and still smell it after I got home. Going on 14 hours and still smell it on my wiffs and smalll silage and when I move a little . Today was only 45 out as well and in the office room temp but damn it’s a killer can’t wait to wear it when 75-90s outside
I totally get what you’re saying, it smells very astringent out of the bottle and I actually debated getting Meteoré over Imagination when I smelled in store for this reason…but the dry down is killer and way more unique. That’s amazing it lasts so long on you, love to see it👍🏻
I went in the store today to smell Imagination and this just blew me away. I could not really smell Imagination but this was 🔥🔥🔥. Meteror was second, then Afternoon swim. This stuff here though is beautiful.
Yea man to be honest imagination is all about the dry down so you really need to wear it all day to get the most out of it. Pacific Chill is a gem for sure, and Meteore is so underrated I’m going to do a video on it. Thanks for the comment🙏🏻
High end Luxury. But Jacques Cavallier is one of the most talented master perfumers around. "basic" but the blending is so phenomenal. L'immensite is actually basically Jacques more mature version of his previous work before LV at BLVGARI which was Tygar.... Grapefruit, Ginger, Ambroxan.... just a more playful and candied ginger in Tygar. I love the linearity of Afternoon Swim because of the incredible layering potential that it brings. Imagination has to be my favorite though. Pacific Chill makes a case to be in the top 3
I swear I will look up masterpiece scents on fragrantica and Cavallier is a name I see all the time, he is one of the best I agree. Didn’t know he designed Tygar but that makes sense, similar DNA for sure. All the LVs have so much personality they are such a fun house. Thanks for the comment my friend🙏🏻
@@TaylorArnett2 he designed the entire Le Gemme line up until he was brought in as the in house perfumer for LV’s line exclusively. The guy has the Midas touch for fragrance.
It’s that Black Tea, the way that it combines with the Ambroxan super dose. The extraction method used for that Chinese black tea gives it an incredibly unique smell. Very specific versions of some common ingredients were used and I feel that is what makes the difference. It maintains that freshy appeal while at the same time having an amber base that somewhat disguises itself because of the blending/specific choices (Nigerian ginger, Ceylon cinnamon, Chinese black tea, Tunisian Neroli, and Sicilian cedar all have an extremely distinct smell to their more commonly used and cheaper counterparts… and they were chosen with that fresher finish in mind)
Visionary (imagination), llmmensite(..) and afternoon splash (..) of Alexandria fragrances are 1 on 1 with the OG. Their clones aren't cheap but comparing them to the OG.. no doubt I'll repurchase them
I have wanted original santal for a year but end up buying other stuff. I bought montblanc individuel which ppl say is the same scent but oh my. Individuel is great for the price but damn it’s barely 30% of what original santal is. I will now finally buy original santal but I will also use individuel with original santal. Helps it’s 30$ too haha. Worth getting it if you really like santal.
I hear you, the montblac is so much more approachable at that price so I don’t blame you. I’d say they are both quite comparable so don’t sweat not having Santal, but if you’re a big fan of that scent profile then I’d definitely try it out, fragrances are all about the subtle differences. It seems like the consensus on this is its either average or long lasting depending on the person. On clothes French defense is eternal, so maybe that is why I smelled it for so long. You might not get 10 hours but honestly this is very much a stunner type of fragrance for a special occasion. So I believe it’s worth it for that special occasion. Hope that helps, I don’t want to over promise and I know everyone is different
