This was wonderful, what a fine tribute to Laura Nyro, loved it! I had no idea as child that many of favorite songs on the radio were of her creation, but I loved them and never forgot them, to hear her being celebrated quite often but not often enough is lovely.
@RealSimpleTheTruth Thank you for your inspiring comments. The lead vocalist, Diane Garisto was in Laura’s band and as rumors have it, her favorite back up singer.
That’s very nice you enjoyed this video in Finland. It was just uploaded from a local show this evening. I will have many more videos from shows that have not yet been uploaded. Please consider subscribing so you will be notified when new ones are added. Have a lovely day 🌞
I’ve been searching Laura Nyro and watching everything I can about her. She really was amazing. This group did a fantastic job honoring her.. love this singer and think it’s so cool she was Laura’s back up singer.❤❤
Yes, they do a wonderful tribute! I've heard Diane was Laura's favorite backup singer. Although she isn't playing in this band, Laura's percussionist/conga player is my friend and her playing shines on the Live Bottom Line recording.
I’m really glad to see your comment. They are friends and there will be future videos of these guys. Please subscribe so you will know whenever I post new videos.
As a Hendrix fan for some 40 years.....this has made me smile, cry, and get totally emotional....far out man....peace, love and happiness from South Australia.
I was lucky enough to catch Pattis first show in LA, on the 'Horses" tour in 1975, at the Roxy actually just over the border from Hollwood to West Hollywood. I've loved her ever since. And Lenny as well.
Brian I saw The PSG at the Roxy too. Not sure it was the first time in LA. Did they take a brake n do a second set? That's how I remember it. Asked if anyone in the crowd wanted to sit in on set. Buddy Miles played drums. Lots of ppl in the industry at that show n played.
