used to be my job at 3 yrs old first thing in the morning to clean out the fire sift threw the ashes save the cinders roll up the news paper throw on the wood then the coal and cinders and light the fire a very fond memory and a smell I miss the smell of burning coal
Great video. I know how hard it can be to capture when they are coming from multiple directions or suddenly diverging when in close up. The split at the end was perfect. Good job you got the nice weather.
Thank you. Yep it really is hard to film the Red Arrows and this is my third attempt. The last two times I tried a mixture of zoom lens and wide lens at the same time. But operating two cameras is not the way to go. This time I chose a wide lens and hoped for the best. As the sun was so bright I had to film blind and hope that something was in the shot as I panned around. I saw nothing in the Field Monitor or viewfinder. It was all shoot and hope stuff. As they say, "Faint heart never won fair lady"
And if truth be told, I would have not got the footage if it wasn't for your contacts at Viva, and your encyclopedic knowledge of where best to film in St Annes. Got to admit that I really enjoyed editing this episode, even in my tired haze of finishing a set of night shifts.😀
That is indeed very kind of you to Sub to my Channel. I hope that I can earn your sub and you stick around for a while. I have to say that TheMacMaster was indeed a very nice chap to meet. Thank you😀
Great footage Frank, thanks for this. I subbed after Starman live moonrise over Manchester with you. Was brilliant footage, thanks for sharing it,i shared with friends and family, all loved it. Take care 😊
@@starman1969 Your knowledge payed off. And it turned out we saw something more rare than a Blue Supermoon, we saw an orange Supermoon. The next Blue Supermoon is in 2037. Better start planning.🤣🤣
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool This was going to be over 30 minutes long but I thought people would get bored very quickly. At least a load of B Roll footage for another day. 😜 Can you see your house?
Good evening sir. Good to hear from you. 😀 This is most definitely not out of the can. My Colour Grading Weapon of Choice is Davinci Resolve and its taken me years to learn just the basics of grading and colour correction.🤣😂
Don't go here in a motor home your not as welcome as your money is spend it on Arran it's so beautiful there and it's not plasterd in unwelcoming sighns or hight restrictions. Travel advice from an honest free man in a van
Maybe one day they will let me do such a project. I only intended to do some drone shots, so I did not take my camera. I took a chance and used my Pixel phone to capture some ground level stuff and was really impressed with the results of my phone. I think the narration by the Artistic Director really helps sell the vibe of a Mini Doc. Hope your studio redesign is progressing nicely. 😊
That was such a very tall yet amazing tower I have ever seen today! I want to compliment how good you are for filming this using your respective drone, I know that you put so much time and effort just to able to show what you have captured and filmed above! I am a believer that the efforts you put will nver put to waste! Have a nice day!
Thanks for the kind words. This was indeed my Mini 4 drone. I shot it in HLG and edited in Davinci Resolve. I've been experimenting with the four colour profiles to see which one is better in low light. If its around sunset and twilight then HLG is the best bet for me. And if it goes darker then I will start using the Natural colour profile. However I will avoid using Dlog-M and Night Time mode like the plague. Dlog-M is awful to grade with and Night Time mode makes everything look like it was filmed in a world made of plastic. If you have a drone, have you filmed in low light?
It is indeed a pleasure to meet you again sir. 😀 I experimented with the "Hollywood" Orange and Teal colour grade in this episode. If it would help you in any way, please let me know and you can have this footage to use as you wish. You were very kind to allow me into the Town Hall a month ago and this would be a small way of showing my thanks.
Don't know about your neck of the woods, but we've had some stunning sunsets over the last couple of days. Just the right amount of cloud cover to turn pink when the sun drops.
👍 #13 Well filmed Frank. It's interesting to watch, especially for locals and also because that Station will be demolished soon for regeneration and i hope it extends to some of the surrounding area as it is scruffy, to say the least. Have a great weekend mt friend. 👍◕‿◕
I really enjoyed my day out lots of entertainment and on the Saturday lovely sunshine all day. Not as busy as last year so I hope they got enough income to cover the expenses This must of taken some editing together.
What a fantastic video Frank, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love that era, I've always said to Stephen that I fancy going to the 1940s weekend in Lytham. Also I absolutely love steam trains, my Papa was an LNER train driver, he drove The Flying Scotsman, The Mallard and The Silver Link during his career. I went to see The Flying Scotsman in 2016 in Scotland, it would be lovely to go for a ride on her, but I think it might be a bit expensive. I hope you enjoyed yourself. Take care xx
The Flying Scotsman is not as expensive as you think. It came to ELR last year but I was too late to buy a ticket, even then the price was quite a bit under £100. I had a great day filming it though.😀
@@frankinblackpool At the Diesel Gala a couple of years ago Flying Scotsman was leaving to Southall to haul a charter train the day after. They used her on one of the trains to save having to send her light engine. I missed out on it even though I saw her go into the platform, just did not expect them to couple up to the passenger train.
