Oh man, that’s embarrassing! I actually have taught that in other tutorials: 1 vertex, 2 vertices. Sorry about that 😆. Sometimes when I’m teaching and recording at the same time, the brain stops working. I’ll try and pay attention more in the future!
When you click "finish sketch" at 2:47 your drawing switches to an isometric view. I'm unsure as to what I'm doing diffeant, my drawing remains in the "top" view. For those who are experiencing this hover your cursor over the "view cube" upper right, a small "house" looking icon appears over the top left of the view cube, click on the house and your drawing will switch to the isometric view.
I appreciate your explanation of the three drawing planes, I too like to begin my drawings on the "XY" plane. One way to make this selection quicker is to hover your cursor over the lower center area of the canvas between the green and red lines. When you click this area it selects the "XY" plane, you can verify that you chose the correct plane by seeing the "view cube" rotate to "Top." The explanation of how to view the object using the view cube, mouse, scroll button, etc. is well done. Every artist takes pride in what they create by seeing it in different orientations.
We really thank you for the time you took to express your appreciation for this tutorial. So glad that you enjoyed it. Thank you too for your explanation too. Looking forward to hearing more of your learning journey in the future.
What a nice comment to receive from you! Much appreciated. Please continue to comment and let us know what you enjoy and what you’ve benefitted from. Don’t feel shy in letting us know how we can improve too. All the best with your learning!
Thanks for reaching out. Should work fine on the free version. Can you explain what’s happening a little more please? It’s hard to understand what arc you’re referring to, and why you can’t extrude. Thanks!
I really enjoyed it. it is my very first fusion project. I have watched online courses, and they are good but this tutorial was the thing I really needed. I learned many basic and yet fundamental commands and concepts by example. Thank you so much 🥰😍🤩
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and letting us know that you have benefitted from this tutorial. Please check out our other tutorials too! We have beginners to advanced tutorials of all sorts that we hope you love. Please comment on other videos too to let us know how you’re doing. All the best with your journey of learning Fusion. 😀 👍
3 min 23 sec. I have to echo what everyone else has already said. You are great at explaining and easy to listen too. Thank you for doing these and spreading knowledge.
Wow, very fast. Great job. Very nice comment from you! I’ll keep trying my best. Hope you’re able to watch our other tutorials too! Please comment to let us know your progress too. All the best!
Thanks for asking. I made. Follow-up tutorial that answers that exact question. Please let me know if it helped. Here it is: Fusion 360 in 5 Minutes #001 - Export Fusion 360 Files to 3D Printer ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B6DW1cMvWS4.html

Thanks for reaching out. The only thing I can think of is, you have likely selected the XY plane by mistake. The best way to tell if you have selected the part face or a plane on the origin is to try and hover your mouse over each one and see the different of the grid lines and the shading of the face. If you hover over the face of the part the shading of that face should change. If you hover over a plane on the origin, that plane will change shades. Let me know if that makes sense and if it works for you.
@@learnitalready I didn't understand what do you mean. When create 5:15 sketch and click "Finish sketch" I have just a blank sketch with nothing in it. But when I project in it the lines of the empty space- then I can click on it and extrude it.
@@dovapi3711 yes, so how you create the sketch is important. You need to Create Sketch and then select the face that has the geometry that you want to keep and then finish the sketch. If you pick any other face or plane, the geometry you want inherited will not be inherited. You can see that I do that at the 5:15 mark you are referring to.
Great content as always ❤. I am really interested to know which software you are using to capture anx edit those tutorials. I am a total noob, and I am eager to learn to be able to create such awesome content as yours one day 😊
Thanks so much for your comment! I would love to make some tutorials on Final Cut Pro one of these days. Actually, the main reasons I started this channel were: 1) help my Fusion students 2) learn to do video editing It has been incredibly fun to learn the video editing side of things too. Stay tuned for some new kinds of tutorials in the new future relating to manufacturing in general not just Fusion. Very exciting!!!
@@GGGG_3333Thanks for the encouragement! I’m far from awesome though. Just glad to have ones tune into our channel that are so studious and willing to learn new things.
Nice question! 12 inches multiplied by 12 feet. The total length of the runner needed to be 144 inches long. This is just the difficulty of using imperial measurements for woodworking.
@@learnitalready I'm starting to binge watch your other videos, they are so well made and it is helping a ton! Great to see a reply too! Not found often these days.
@@nasaeagle Thanks for diving into our other tutorials too! Glad you’re finding them helpful. We are trying to respond to everyone. We know what it’s like to need help learning something. Just trying our best to help when we can.
Great series! In this one when you get to the side wall, you start talking about using the “project” technique in the making of the sketch. I kind of understand what you are doing, but was this technique used in part one? Was this tool introduced in another video?
Thanks for your comment and for reaching out. I didn't talk too much about the Project technique in this tutorial. You have given me the idea to discuss it in another tutorial though. If you'd like to see the technique in action, I would like to encourage you to watch the following tutorial. It discusses it in an easy-to-understand way that I think you'd appreciate. I forgot to comment the first time I watched this tutorial, Excellent explanation and looking forward to using 3D FLAT on my machine next time I machine something.
