No. The brave young men of Easy Company own it. As do all of the other young men who fought and sacrificed so much for preserving the freedom of this great nation. The men who answered the call of duty, the men who who heard the eagle cry when it was wounded. The men who fought in countless battles against a battle hardened enemy. The men who pushed and trudged on no matter what. They, They own this theme.
Thank you for sharing this with all the people who wished to see the sacrificed of the men and women, as well as the band of brothers, during WW2 to set the world to be free.
There were more British and Canadians who went ashore on D-Day, but the Yanks get the publicity. In the film The Great Escape it showed Steve McQueen escaping on a motorbike - in fact there were no Americans in the camp at that time!
no most of them did not want to join they were forced they did what they did because they feared death from their own commrads they fought as broave as all other soldiers the real bastards were the ss not the german army
I shook a soldiers hand at the supermarket today, he burst into tears as it is the first time a person understood and shook his hand! :( And Im 14 years old, its a disgrace if you ask me. These men deserve respect!
its fair that you also showed german soldiers :) They also HAD TO fight for their country... most of them did not join by choic! and they had to make through the same horrible war 'till they lost.
It was sad how in Band of Brothers that like a medic would go to save somebody and get shot :( I am still thinking about going to the army and the next few years. Saving Private Ryan,BoB and I think I've seen PH
