So this is first and foremost a Let's Play channel. Join me on my adventures through varied games and their incredible worlds. I do my best to enter a new game with as little knowledge of said game as possible to bring you a fresh, first time playthrough. We'll struggle to overcome challenges, solve puzzles, experience the story, study the game's world and lore, attempt to understand the game's mechanics, and use what we can to our advantage. We'll need every advantage we can get as I usually prefer to play games on their hardest difficulty, whenever the option is available. So tag along as we tackle game genres like Open World Survival Craft, Souls-Like, FPS RPGs, and many more!
I thought maybe you muted the commentary on this build to shield us from the bad words that must have been coming out of your mouth while trying to get that roof to work!! LOL! You know I love a good Hiccup build. Just having the music was a super chill vibe watching this one. Incorporating the Fuling camp into the build is awesome. You picked a great spot! Hope you guys are doing well.
I would have been swearing up a right storm, for sure! Turns out great with the double-ridge. I built one Plains base near a Forest like this but I didn't have any of the bigger Fuling yurts - I did turn one smaller one into a bit of a picnic-table umbrella though.
Hiya Hiccup! Hope you and family are well. I love your building episodes as much as the adventure ones! Even when I don't seem to have much energy for gaming these days, I LOVE watching creators like you build stuff and have a great time in my favourite games. A good day to you and all the digital Wanderers! I love the location for this base too, with the Fuling village integrated (love those hide-roofed yurt things) and views of the forest.
I like the wonky farm! It's a cool build. Also, yay nighttime walkthrough 😊 Sometimes you find very jagged terrain on the plains and I'd be curious to see a house built over such a ravine.
I'm not sure whether you're counting the ocean/sea as a seperate biome in these buildthroughs, but what about building on a little island off the coast, still technically part of the plains? We all know that the big hairy blue *bleeps* will come after you even when you're in the water, and I know greydwarves and their variations will, but what about the plains dwellers? can you do something that is building up from one of those low rocks in the water but that is a bit more secure, maybe with a nice view of the plains and the oceans (gotta have a balcony, of course!). Hope there's some food for thought in there :) Hope too that you're all doing okay. Thoughts and prayers are with you guys. xx
Have you ever built around one of those stone pillars? I think they would make for a pretty cool vertical base with stairs going to the top and platforms here and there😄 Maybe add an "airship" dock on top

I'm sorry for your loss Hiccup. Don't worry about missed weeks or your heart not being in it. Grieving is one of the most difficult things to experience in life. This series has become sort of a touchstone in mine, something that no matter what my week looks like, I'll always get to watch your journey. That is to say, I'm happy when you post no matter the content, and understand when you don't. On a lighter note, I'm loving your building itch. The catchphrase for this episode must have been "that looks like a great place for a base!" lmao
You have nothing to apologize for. I lost both my father and mother-in-law several years ago and it takes time. So, definitely take whatever time you need.
