He survived but it was too late for him to go to the shelter in time. His wife, Geraldine, did die even though she was in their shelter. There's videos of him doing an interview.

The fact that this person apparently survived is amazing. That is a big tornado probably an EF4 if I had to guess and they're near a window on the top floor it looks like.
I didnt realise this guy was wheelchair bound. So anyone saying hes an idiot for not running needs to realise that. Its amazing that he survived but equally as sad that his wife died. God bless them 🙏
Not every American has the money to build a safe cellar. Not every American is money loving either. Stop generalizing and do some research. There are plenty of videos on RU-vid or articles online that will explain the economic situation in this country for the average person. Life is not a Hollywood movie here.
@@sunflowers4227 if you think pragmatically on those areas you build cellar at first and then the building if money suffices. Little simple cellar is not too expensive if you want to priorize things. Yes i know every american are not rich but anyone can dig a simple hole to protect his people.
