Welcome my channel. I am a voice actor, and I specialize in characters and impressions, please allow me to make a good "impression" on you! There are things I'm passionate about like sports and comedy, and I often use my voice characters within my videos to make them more entertaining. If you ever need a voice for YOUR video or production, let me know, I love to help! I also like sharing my experiences along the way to hopefully inspire others who have a thirst for knowledge. Please subscribe, and join the team, let's play together. Cheers! RD
You're actually right. The exasperated writer said to the producer: "What do you want me to do, come up with a show about people's sexual fantasies?" and the producer said, "Yes!" That's why there are so many love stories and why there's "always" a couple involved in some way regardless of the fantasy.
I remember Stampede Wrestling from the 1960s even. Dave Ruhl I think his name was…Sweet Daddy Siki ..Cuban Assasin…In Vancouver for a time we got tv wrestling from Toronto…The Beast Bulldog Brower Wipper Billy Watson …and the wrestling from Vancouver…the Assassins Tolos Brothers Gene Kiniski Don Leo Jonathan Abdulla the Butcher Mark Lewin Bearcat Wright Mr Kleen Haystack Calhoun Bulldog Brown Dutch Savage Steven Little Bear Steve Bolus Dominic Dimucci Hard Boiled Haggerty Kinji Shabuya Rocky Johnson…. I like Ed Wallon sp? the announcer of Stampede Wrestling. Hart Family of course.
A true Calgarian will always remember the good old days of stampede wresting. My favourite was Mike Shaw when he played the role of Machasing. His interviews with Ed Whalen were funny especially when he would insult the fans of Calgary and wear the Edmonton Oilers jersey. His best interview is when he said he enjoyed drinking his beer on the side of memorial drive and watching the poor Calgarian bums going to work. He knew how to hate and insult.
It's a shame that talent of the wrestlers of that era may be forgotten. I hope that someone will put out episodes of all the heels backgrounds of stampede.. love to watch that.. their skills and entertainment should not be forgotten. Imo their talent made stampede what it was.
Mike (Mahkin Singh) Shaw, Dan Kroffit, Tiger Tomasso, Archie (The Stomper) Gouldie, Leo Burke, King Curtis Aiakaya. Etc. Etc. Etc. Abdullah the Butcher.
I remember watching stampede wrestling first in 1970 witch had old outdated films every Saturday on Channel 3 barrie station at 1pm. But , was great wrestling with the stomper, and later with Abby and sweet daddy siki with Dave rule. After about 3or 4 years of outdated films, in 1974 it showed 1971 films with black Angus Campbell and Gilbert Hayes. In 1975 it got up to date with Dan kroffat, les Thornton John Quinn, Mr heto, the sheik even had a match . Then it was not on any more. Very disappointing.
Loved Saturday’s with Stampede Wrestling. Used to really like how JR Foley would tell Ed Whelan ; “ we’re having a party Mr Whalen and your not invited “ . Ed Whalen would quickly retort “ ahh get out of here ! I don’t want to go anyway. “. Then add “ we’ll folks in the meantime and in between time that’s it !! Another edition of Stampede wrestling “ … I can admit many childhood memories of living rooms being damaged or hotels rooms being damaged came out of my brothers, friends, hockey teammates turning into a battle royal cause of watching Stampede Wrestling lol. Such great memories
This is precisely what needs to happen. Don can't be there forever (you can see he has trouble finding his words - even the greatest of things will come to an end - after all Don is nearly 90 years old) but we can make an AI Don to take his place.
I remember going in the 70’s when Killer Brooks was there, when Stu Hart brought back Dan Kroffett to take him out, that was in the first few weeks of us going. We went every week for at least 5 years. Loved it
By far my favourite wrestling show Dynamite Kid is my favourite . Jr and Ed conflicts were stellar and like Jr use to say “let the good times roll” . Thanks for sharing
Well I made fantasy Island so great was because it didn't have this kind of talk it was a wholesome show for the whole family and not having some guy just talk about stupid stuff
You're right Steve. There was action, adventure, romance and, at times, very funny moments. And, always something to be learned. Something for everyone without a bunch of bs. And, as you stated, the whole family could enjoy.
Stampede Wrestling in Calgary, billed as Klondike Wrestling for house shows in Edmonton lol. Those were the days. Foley's Army, the Karachi Vice, Bad Company. My faves were Bad News Allen, Strangler Steve DiSalvo and Owen Hart. So much talent! Look out Nellie!!! That was a malfunction... At the junction lol. Whalen was perfect as announcer.
