Holy shit what an amazing life! Damn did she have STORIES!! Rooming with Candy Darling? Hit on by Mama Cass? The police raided Lenny Bruce by running across her stage? Mind-blowing!! 🤯
I get the impression that SuSu did more living in her 60 odd years than most do in several lifetimes. I always loved her face but I ADORED her sweet voice.
This interview is amazing actually. I’m glad he actually let her talk and didn’t interrupt 50 times unlike some other interviewers. I learned a lot. Thank you. ❤
SuSu was a dynamic force of nature trapped in the body of a consummate actress and colossal talent! She won me over in the mid-'80s when I saw her in FORBIDDEN ZONE, and ever after that, I was thrilled whenever she popped up in a film. I wish her life had been happier...it breaks my heart when she sings the last line of "Witch's Egg." It moves me to tears.
Wonderful! I just noticed how well arranged and recorded Yummy yummy really is, so I thought I'd try to find out a bit more about the people behind it. This interview is just what I was looking for! It makes me hope Joey Levine will release more of his demos to the general audience.
The so-called "bubblegum pop" music was written and performed by the best songwriters, musicians and producers in the music industry. it may have received deprecatory reviews from the jealous music press of the time, but we're talking about the work of consummate pros.
I've just watched Fiona in an episode of Madigan from 1972. She plays a photographer in a London nite club owned by American gangsters, a great cast and good story with Richard Widmark, Gerorge Cole and so many others. Thinking l must check out her other TV roles. Then this lovely interview came up on RU-vid. I was surprised that there are so many movies as well to checkout in 2024. I must check out her books.
Fred should write a book. I could only imagine working with guys like Aldo Ray Cameron Mitchell Jan Michael Vincent David Carradine you need to have a strong character to stand up to these guys
A dear friend I miss you terribly. In the restaurant I miss too. He was one of a kind and totally completely true to himself. I much prefer visiting him through the interviews he gave when he was just being Seymour although of course I admired all of his work. The kid misses you Seymour. ❤
I read ‘Are you experienced’ some years back. Noel should have been financially stable for the rest of his life after leaving the experience. Unfortunately, like so many others dreaming of fame he was a young man with no business acumen and just like Jimi and Mitch, was exploited by their management team. He really went through some tough times during the experience and after leaving the experience. When I look today at the wealth of the Hendrix estate it makes me wonder how some people can sleep at night.
Well, he probably WAS too young and Iggy with business acumen, but with his money at the time he managed his money better than Mr. Jimi, who needed a fan with vehicle in Seattle to buy him a burger.noel kept record of his money, was frugal abt partying & going out.
